Ok then Minfilia too jajajaj

I wouldn't want them to die, but loss is good for development, no matter how heartbreaking it can be (looking at Moenbryda and specifically the end of The Vault T^T). That aside, if I had to choose one, Minfilia draws the short straw here as far as dumping the least effective character. For drama and tragedy's sake, either Papalymo or Yda.
You sum it up nicely for me. Now, I feel with Lor'themar, the mistake was not developing his character right off the bat; he was a relatively empty slate, unlike Minfilia, but that made him an easy fix. His sudden prominence in Mists was a bit jarring at first, but he turned out alright, I guess (still not particularly my favourite). You pretty much nailed the problems I have with Minfilia though. We see and interact with her a lot, but, she leaves much to be desired. On the flip side, the points you mentioned could be really just be the point of Minfilia's character and personality (but that's just... bland?).
I will say she can make decisions from time to time and there always will be a need for someone delegating work loads, but Minfilia seems like the manager that doesn't do much else aside from delegate, and that's boring in a story and not particularly useful in a working sense.
Thancred. And nothing of value was lost.
A L P H I N A U D
And hands off Tataru, she's adorable! ;_;
I wouldn't mind if we got rid of Alphanerd. He's such an annoying little know it all and I'm sick of just being his hired goon. "A primal is here go kill it. Go fight the garleans. We need this item and it's in this death trap go fetch dog.Hey WoL what do you think we should do? Regardless we will still do what I want but I thought I would humour you"
We could also lose Thancred and Minfilia they don't offer anything story wise.
i would like to see Papalymo die. Not because I hate him or anything like that. When Moenbryda died, Yda had a major change in personality. From the cheery lass to near complete depression while mourning her. She only met with Moenbryda for merely a short time and was a old friend. But, what would happen if the one person who she is closest to dies and has been her partner since even before 1.0.
Yda'd have an emotional break down and become a cimpleatly usless character with out any valid reason for being writen into the script.
Thing most people is that Alphinode, Tataru, and Y'shtola all had their roles legitimuzed in 3.0 where as U see the ither scions being legitimized the same way in 3.1-3.x.
2.0 was about us realizing we were the WoL and the dangers we would face along with learning the sacrifices we may have to make along the way.
3.0 isnt WoL 101 any more so the plot is free to give other neglected characters more depth. Give it time and the others, even Minfilia, may shock you on how much they\\'ve changed and in what ways.
This is actually what worries me, I've enjoyed all of the characters I've met in 3.0 more than the Scions and others I've met in 2.0 (to the point where I really wanted to take Estinien and Ysayle and make a new group of Scions), but with the way the story went it seems like they were all just brushed to the side to make room for the returning Scions. Haucherfant's death at least carried some meaning and finally pulled some emotion out of the WoL, so I can let it slide, but Ysayle's senseless sacrifice and Estinien's...not even telegraphed, they basically held up the storyboard for the player that he was gonna get possessed, and yet it still felt out of left field. Now, Y'shtola was my favorite Scion so I'm not too torn up about her returning, plus with her being in Dissidia it was obvious, but I can't help but feel a bit cheated.
So long as Y'shtola and Yda are safe I don't really care what happens to the others.
Yda.
But also Minfilia.
Yda is annoying and doesn't seem to have much characterization past "cute, masked ditzy girl paired with smarter academic for comedy relief."
Minfilia is an incompetent leader.
Y'shtola's the only female scion I like since they went and killed Moenbryda off...
