Patch 1.18 release date now looking grim for july??

Mocking the fact someone says have patience when a game is going an overhaul that requires patience for it to be done? Isn't feedback.

they have their right to their opinion just as much as you do. they also have just as much a right to post their opinion. i may not agree with what they have to say no more than i do what you have to say, but they have the same right to give opinions as anyone else. all feedback is a person's opinion and nothing more.

I'm glad they keep delaying these patches. It seems like some lessons have been learned about releasing unfinished products. At least I hope it has.

didn't they already say these would only be the initial stuff and much more was to be added over the next few patches because they were not the finished product?

Yes, but this is no reason to release the core/base of those changes if they are bugged. What they are releasing in 1.18 is the heart of the battle reform to be completed by the end of the summer. No point in releasing it if it doesn't work even if the whole system is not finished as a whole.

I cannot count the number of times when programming for my 3D engine that I think everything for a feature is pretty much done, but then realize I've overlooked something. I fix the problem, but then it unearths a new problem. I fix that one, and yet another problem emerges. Since I just recently implemented a new collision system, I spent weeks in a cycle like this. Fixing problems only to have others emerge. It's just how programming works. Although this problem specifically dealt with the math being used, not necessarily bad coding practices.

originally, mid-late June + 2weeks= late June-early July, now if things go well we may have it in July.I was actually expecting to get on lodestone today and see a date, oh well, whats one more let down. The end of summer plan just became an end of year plan. Hopefully this game does not out date it self by its new official release as did other FF projects (ff11, ff the movie).

uhhhh feedback is feedback, why do you think anytime you cancel a service they ask you why you are canceling. Phone, xbox internet etc. Its information they can use to figure out why they are losing customers. If everyone leaves because they are taking long, someone can take that to the manager and be like, we need more resources if we want to be in a competitive mmo market, because our pace is too slow.

they need to be faster, people say battle changes take forever, its simply not true. If they had to recreate art assets that may have taken awhile, with this games art detail. but all they are doing is some math, and some programing changes. this is the fast stuff. they are not a little late if it doesnt come out in july or late july, they are 1 -2 months late, when they wanted to have 3 patches out by september 21.

you have so much patience, you dont even play the game. since you dont play it now, i dont think you really will mind that much if it fails. People saying take a break, dont play the game, wait for it to get better, what your feedback really tells SE, is I too think you are too slow, i wouldnt play this game as it is, even if it was free. I dont want to complain about it, but my first reccomendation to anyone playing this game is not to play, and come back in a few years.

Your a SE defender, but and the end of the day, you cant even stomach the game long enough to make any serious progress. That speaks volumes.

For all you say, i doubt you ll be back playing this game a year from now. Heck at this rate, in a year, the game will barely have made any progress.

except this has been thier focus for 7 months.

The reason people say be patient is because they're too polite to say something more on the lines of 'Get a life and stop refreshing the lodestone page and constantly complaining about a free to play game, go have a beer, socialise or something normal'. It's not healthy and it's most certainly not productive.
