I've been playing FFXI for 10+ years and the only time I have ever noticed anything like that happening was when the user was afflicted with paralysis. I have not once used Invincible or Perfect Dodge and then proceeded to die immediately to the next melee attack. I have never used Benediction and seen it start to animate on someone only for them to fall down dead anyway.
Again, I want to know, if a 12-year old game made by the same company could get it right, why couldn't this one?
