Uldal vs Gradandia vs Lima Losa

I'd say uldah is the strongest nation in eorzea (excluding garlean)

They are technologically advanced, well fortified and the syndicate can be a tricky bunch. They can manipulate/hire pirate and slowly can play a small role in politics.

I can see uldah take land from gridania (camp tranquil for the water/farm land) though.

Limsa is an island city state and Limsa possesses the strongest naval power in Eorzea, La Noscea is also adjacent to Ishgard and presuming Ishgard remains neutral, it would serve as a buffer zone for Limsa and create a strategic terrain disadvantage to Gridania and Ul'dah, given that, it would be a monumental task for Gridania or Ul'dah to stage an invasion on La Noscea.


Limsa on the other-hand, having naval superiority and mastery of the seas enables them to flank both Gridania and Ul'dah as both Gridania and U'dah shares a large land border, they would be faced with the challenge is distributing sufficient forces to protect the border and protecting their rear from a Limsa landing invasion from the seas or ultimately, an encirclement.

The terrain itself provides Limsa a vast strategic advantage

Classes wise, assuming they have the ability to attain jobs, Limsa possesses the most comprehensive and balanced spread

Limsa - DDs (Summoners) Tank (Warrior) and Healer (Scholar)
Ul'dah's - Tank (Paladin) DD (Black Mage) DD (Monk)
Gridania - Healer (White Mage) DD (Dragoon) DD (Bard)

Ul'dah is relatively near the sea (Horizon) where shore bombardment from artillery can disrupt operations and shellshock its inhabitants, a turtle defense for Ul'dah would see it cut off from essential and critical essential supplies such as food and water, being in a desert environment further exacerbates this. Limsa being home of the Armorer and Blacksmith guilds and its exclusive use of Cobalt also provides its troops with the best Cobalt armor which would prove to be superior against equipment made from lesser materials.

Ul'dah has not been seen with siege defenses such as catapults or trebuchets, this allows an invading force (presuming Limsa) to constantly barrage its walls with cannon fire, encircling Ul'dah and cutting off its supplies whilst being resupplied from Limsa due to its naval superiority.
