Yeah, but these shouts are for what job? BARD, or WHM. It's very rare to see a shout for dps, and if there is, the person requesting will be bombarded with ten or more tells, unlike those two jobs I mentioned, so the chance that you get in, it's very slim. There's a problem with exclusion in coil and SE needs to retify it.

In other words 1 LS can only create 1 FC. A player can only join 1 FC. The benefits of FC worth noting is status buffs.

FC should be limited to at most 24 players (3 different statics). LS should have the capability to have multiple FCs or the player should have the capability to have multiple FCs.

So you are complaining that the nature of coil which is the end game and essentially "hardcore" part of the game has a different mentality attached to it and thats making you feel left out? And do these people you talk to only do Coil? never anything else? sounds like you just need to hang out with different or new people.

I personally love my FC sure we have like 6 coil groups but we also only do coil a few days a week and the rest is doing dungeons making up events running people through titan just to help them out. I mean we do it all. Working on your first relic and you are getting the shaft from the server well we are so nice we get 7 people just to help you out :) Thats what an MMO is all about. Not just one piece of content! I think you met some pretty selfish people and thats the main problem!

It's really interesting to see new mmo players (from what they're saying I get the impression this is their first mmo) react to stuff like weekly lockouts, caps, the progression of FC or LS and so on when you've played mmos for so many years that those "problems" for them are completely normal for you/just the way things work and should work.

It really comes down to organized gaming which probably noone who never played an mmo with raid content (or something similiar) has done before thus not understanding the intention behind forming groups/playing on schedule/being selective about members.

I can see how that might upset people (like the guy who started the thread) but it's just something you either have to work with or find players who think like you and try to go from there but do not expect SE to make any changes in how this works - lockouts and stuff like that is just how mmos function in terms of progression and long time motivation, people with the same goals will want to play together and thus might not want to play with you anymore and rare roles like tanks and healers will always be wanted more than DPS.

I see shouts for very specific jobs because party composition counts for coil, and half the time those jobs are dps jobs. The only job that is really out of luck for coil pugs are war tanks.

As a FC leader I dont even pity you. Its such a bitch trying to find members for Coil when all of these people want to just do random statics because "They are in a FC they like"... yeah,that doesnt do anything! Its just a chat channel at that point. Thats why you have linkshells! But then you complain when you cant get in Coil groups without pugging. Mean while the FC's on my server are fighting over good coil players like dogs on a bone because all of these people want to be in their 10 person FC! Do you see the problem here? Stop crying and get a FC. Dont put labels on something that doesnt deserve them, and learn to use the game channels properly. *I expect to be flamed for this.

Make your own raid group and make it sign up sheet so everyone has a chance to join if your that strong about helping other FC members.. but im 100% sure that if you were in the static group you would not be preaching about equality within ur FC.

I think everyone is missing this post here. OP feels entitled to a raid spot because he just got his plus 1 relic two weeks ago. Of course the already progressed players already have groups without him. Lockouts, splintered raid groups in guilds, and late adopters being excluded has been a thing in MMOs since WoW popularized the genre. Heck, WoW has it worse than FFXIV. In WoW you cannot be in a FC AND a LS. If you want to join a raiding static in WoW, you HAD to drop your social circle to join your progression guild. At least in FFXIV you can stay in your FC and have a static LS separate.

I run a FC, and yeah, we're pretty small. We have one static that runs Coil every week. In addition to this, though, I'm a member of a LS whose sole purpose is forming pick-up groups for Coil. The LS helps people get into Coil. Don't blame the game because you can't figure out how to interact with a community.

This isn't a dev problem. This is your personal problem since you are too lazy to do what it takes to get a proper group together. You're leaning on your FC for them to do it and then you get frustrated because they are doing it without you. However, you did not one bit of the leg work at all. You expect a hand out. Now you sit here and expect the devs to remove the lock out so those other FC members can join you just for your personal benefit.

What do you expect those players in your LS that are already completing coil to do? Level alts just so they can run with you? That's silly.
Do you have some problem with statics? Guess what? When I run with the same people every week that allows the 8 of us, as a group, to gear up and learn the battle. This leads to consistent victories each week and less wasting of my time. This is the ideal way that these things work. Even if I could run it multiple times a week I wouldn't. I'd still prefer my static that has a refined skill level due to the months we spent together ironing out our faults and gearing up. In no way do I want to fill the gaps in my other FC groups. Sure this might be nice from time to time, but under no circumstances do I want my FC to expect me to run 2 coil groups every single week just because the other group is too lazy to find a permanent member. I have other things going on throughout the week than helping every other person through the most difficult content in the game.
You feel left out due to this? What do you think happened to us? We wanted to run a proper end game instance because we saw other people doing it. So we recruited 8 people who weren't even coil ready yet. We spent those weeks getting Titan defeated for everyone and getting us all into the coil. Sure we may be a click now, but we earned that. Nothing, and I repeat, nothing is stopping you from grabbing 8 people and making a weekly schedule to do coil the same way we are. The only thing stopping you is this insane requirement that only people from your FC/LS help you. This is a personal limitation you are placing on yourself. You gain no pity from me since you don't even seem to want to try.

Also, why in gods name are you primarily organizing under linkshells? Freecompanies are way better for large groups of people like this, and they provide more bonuses. Endgame content is 8 man per group only and we cant even team up for crystal tower. FC's used for coil only runs is a bad match for something only done a few times a week. Make a proper FC to just hang out with friends and use LS's for small coil groups. Those small FC bonuses aren't enough of a benefit to coil runs to be worth organization FC's around that kind of content.

Umm... what's stopping people in your FC from forming your own static group? Do you need FC approval to form your own static? Be proactive, not a whiner.
