Yeah for sure. I haven't been growing attached to and staring at the couch fabric for 5 years in cut scenes and gpose so I don't notice or care much about how they update it. If plants and stones look good they look good. My own characters face is a different story. Faces didn't get the attention to detail they should have imo.

I would much rather have the better graphical fidelity, but I remember 1.0 and I remember the 5-10fps some places of the game would have, the lack of the hardware mouse cursor, the much nicer looking models... oh wait.

Sometimes you can go "yeah, that looked better" and then turn around and realize how empty the area is because of it. Because that is what a lot of 1.0, copy-paste topology to either save memory or abject laziness. "PS3" limitations also meant a lot of creative reuse.

What I hope is that most of the "ARR" and HW areas get revamped with higher quality textures, and also various places where they dropped the ball like Hein's outfit stops being a thing.

The graphics update has already reached the forums profile pictures. I can tell my eyebrows are still a lot angrier than they used to be...

Wouldn't that mean the character picture on the Lodestone are updated?
Isn't it from there the forum profile pic originate from?

Looks like it. My red eye's bright ring is now missing, which was something I had noted in one of the earlier benchmark threads.

oh god. I am *not* happy. I was hoping they'd adjust it more but no. Completely different vibe, different character.

I'm seeing the new fem au ra faces and I'm just... *sigh* :/

Generally can't tell if mines even updated, he looks exactly the same.
