I ran a parser earlier, while running a dungeon on my DRG that I'm leveling.

Holy crap, I knew SCH can do a lot of damage but damn. Granted it was Halatali NM, and the other DPS was only an Archer but... I don't have a screen shot or anything but I think I did like 32% of the overall damage (excluding LB), while the SCH did like 27%.

MAR and ARC were like 23% and 16% respectively (ARC was a sprout). But I didn't really care about any of that.

DRG is boring at that level with just HT - IDx4 - repeat, so I kinda fudged my "rotation" at times causing my overall DPS to be a bit lower than it could have been. I was utterly shocked by the sheer power of the SCH though. Anyone who thinks Healers are weak should really try running with one who knows what they are doing.

To be fair, at that level, SCH is literally an Arcanist with a fairy. and the fairy can and will do 100% of the healing. SCH only loses out on carbuncle damage....which I'm pretty sure is completely overshadowed by the addition of cleric stance. poor carby.

I dunno, when I heal expert I don't usually have a lot of time to even think about dps cause the tanks hp is yoyoing constantly from all the damage coming in from the 6-10+ mobs they're picking up. A single regen is very much not enough to heal all that. O_o

A while ago I did a test on how it is to only heal an expert dungeon as WHM. I was active 17% of the whole dungeon (while the rest of my group members were active 72-77% of the dungeon). The only things I actually cast during fights in the whole 21 min Xelpathol were 16 Medica IIs. That's less than 1 cast per minute. Everything else in my healing was instant abilities (Regen x24, Asylum x7, Assize x4, and Tetra x4). I also cast Cure II but only 5 times in the whole dungeon and they all were cast between pulls, not during them. One question though:
Are you doing this with friends or randoms? Because that makes a *huge* difference.

What difference does it make, exactly? I have never had to not do any DPS in any dungeon party with randoms for as long as I remember. This particular party was with FC members, but the tank had never tanked the dungeon before (and hasn't done any difficult content on WAR, he plays MCH as main), the DRG was also a newbie DRG (hasn't done difficult content on DRG, plays healer), and the BLM was playing his main. I had only done the dungeon once or twice before. I had no communication with the party (as you can see from the video I had chat turned off and wasn't in voice communication) other than telling to the tank to let me know if he's dying while I was doing /icam through some pulls.

What my video shows is how low the actual healing requirements are for expert. Even with this amount of heals and with this item level tank (not even any prototype Creator or scripture gear) I was overhealing 35.9% while I was basically afk for over 80% of the dungeon.

That moment when the tank is doing a huge pull, you slap down Sacred Soil, and they refuse to step inside it despite having ample opportunity to.

Yeah, no, it's fine. I blew an Aetherflow stack because the blue circle is pretty. If I say anything more, I'm going to start swearing, so I won't.

I will say that it took me a long time to be able to remember what ground effects do what. In some games out there, it's safest to assume everything is fire. :P

Also, do those still show up if you disable allied spell effects?
