Sent me back to Deepwood Green. Gonna try 1 Valfruit and see where that gets me I guess. Chocobo, why you so frustrating?

I got Raisin Brown today and it's not listed on the google.doc then changed it to Chestnut brown.

Fed 1 appl and 2 pineapples all procing colors so hopefully I'll get black. <_<;

Ya i did that ended up in the koboldbrown,deepgreen loop i'm stuck in :( hoping at somepoint this rng would give me black.

Urgh, I messed up I guess...

I wanted a Soot Black and followed this 'guide': http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen..._a_soot_black/

Fed my Chocobo 25 Berries, 23 Apples, 25 pears and 3 pineapples.
Then the next day it turned Cactuar Green, I thought it was because I haven't fed it all berries, so I have him the last fourteen he needed.

Now he's Midnight Blue and I spend all my money in the auction house on fruits.

Did this guide lie or should I have fed my Chocobo all the fruit on the same go? Perhaps I should've fed him from time to time? =/

Hello! I got Currant Purple now. What should I feed now to get Void Blue? Thank you so much for the help.

Hey, if someone could answer a question for me I'd really appreciate it. I'm currently at Sunset Orange, buying apples as I scrape up enough gil (I think I've gotten four-five so far?), my ultimate goal is Dalamund Red so my question is can I get there with apples alone or am I gonna need to throw in some more fruit eventually? Thanks.

From Dalamud Red to Soot Black... it doesn't work, Regal purple... as usual...

Hey, I want Soot Black but im stucked: when I feed my chocobo he turns: Kobold Brown, Curratn Purple, Dalamud Red... etc. Now he is Deepwood Green.

I think feeding him with 2 valfruit and 2 pineapple maybe he turns Soor Black.... but I need help. Im wasting a lot of time with this.

You may get lucky and get it i was not this is my 4th time getting deepwood green. Right now i'm at kobold brown trying x2 plum i may end up back at deepwood green with my luck.

Try it and see if it works at the end it's all about luck like winning the lotto :)

I got Dalamund Red just now by just feeding apples. Sunset Orange >> Blood red >> Dalamund Red.
Keep in mind that are RNG involded though.

Ahh, what I'm talking. I feed him with berries, too. Sunset Orange -> Apples only -> Blood Red -> Berries only -> Dalamund Red.

ok, does anyone know how can i go from Royal Purple to Rolanberry red? (I think my choco was all kind of colors but the one I want) LOL

Celeste Green. Gave it 2 more Berries to darken Hue. Got Corpse Blue and im staying with that colour.

Base-> Desert Yellow
30 Apple, 1 berry -> Sunset Orange
10 Apple, 20 Berries, 20 Pears -> Orchard Brown
4 Pears, 8 Berries -> Marsh Green
10 Berries -> Void Blue(Mistake, meant to do 1 apple, 2 berries)
6 Apples, 1 Pear -> Midnight Blue (oops, went the wrong direction, I was supposed to use plums I think, not apples, lol)
(1 apple, 1 plum), 3 pineapple -> Kobold Brown (the apple and plum should cancel each other out, but looks like the apple is stronger than the plum)
2 Plum -> Ink Blue. I love this color so I end here.

Generally, if I used more than 1, that means I made a mistake and tried to make up for it.

I suspect I'm like 0-2 valfruit and 0-2 pineapple away from soot black, but because Ink Blue is actually (in total color, though blue is technically a very bright color) darker than black...

Hopefully, when I wake up, she will be at Blood red ... but I'm expecting the orange before it.

Takes too many damn apples to get a color change towards red! Plums were easy as PIE but red ... sigh.

Tried this, and now I am back at Deepwood green. I feel like this is never going to end.

I got a Celeste Green chocobo by feeding nothing but Domans from default. I actually really like the colour and was going to keep it, but it's not what I'm going for so I figured I'd dump a picture here for anyone who might be interested. It's a minty fresh mix of blue and green.

Marsh Green... my chocobo had been all colours but not Soot Black. Now I feed him with 2 berries + 1 apple. 6 hours again...

OK! Been going down this road of "red to get to Soot Black" and I expect to be a Blood Red next time I check. Anyone have any experience with going from Blood Red to Shoot? Anyone know how to avoid the dreaded Regal Purple loop/ glitch? Would like to speed past it but something tells me that with my luck feeding her a to of Blues with result in regal purple. :/

I've been following the red to soot black path as well, and I did end up in the Regal Purple. From there, I tried to use pears, but instead of getting Gloom Purple, I found myself with a Mole Brown chocobo! Again, I tried pears, and what do you know, I find myself with another color missing on the chart, Olive Green. Now way off the map, I decided to try apples, but it brought my chocobo back to Mole Brown. Just in case someone wanted to know how to get either of those colors, although I'm not sure if there's other ways possible. Still trying to get from Mole Brown to Soot Black though, if anyone has any advice, please let me know!

Okay, now I'm sitting at Abyssal Blue. I would like to get to Void Blue. The math is driving me nuts. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! What should I feed it now?

Playing around with the calculator, it says 4 pears and 2 berries. Does that sound about right?

So I have changed the color a few times for my chocobo now, but I have decided that Celeste Green shall be my pick.
I have a sky blue chocobo now and I tried feeding it plums which I heard from a mate I should, 18 or so later. No color change at all.

So which fruit should I use instead?
I just wanna make sure to hear other people suggestions, my own guess is Pears?

Can anyone, please, tell me how to get from Blood Red to Slate Gray?

Back to deepwood green i try valfruit 1 pineapple 1 and valfruit 2 with pineapple 2. I have no idea what else to try this is getting to the point that i may never end this loop :(

Going to try valfruit x2 and pineapple x1 report back and see if this can help other also stuck in the loop with me.

I am stuck in this loop with you. I am back to Deepwood myself. I fed one valfruit and got a feather proc, so I am staying with just one for this time. Let me know how yours ends up.

At this point we going to get feather proc no matter what we feed i bet. I got one on my first valfruit also but i know for sure if i leave it there i get ink blue. I hoping the one pineapple is what give me that soot black if anything i just have to keep trying and maybe on day get soot black ;(

I got Soot Black from Ink Blue with 2 pineapples (got feather message with both).

Where do I go from if I have a Midnight Blue-chocobo and want a Soot Black? =/

I need some help reaching soot black, I've been using the colour calculator but I've been in a loop of deepwood green, kobold/chestnut brown for days. I managed to break out of that and got marsh green but now after feeding it what I should have to get me soot black it's currant purple!
What should I do? I'm at my wits end.

Anyway, because I know people tend to get stuck in the Deepwood/Ink/Kobold loop, I suggest this:

If you go through those colors and end up at Kobold Brown, try giving your Chocobo 2x Plums. There are some who can get to Soot Black with one but I've noticed those stuck in the loop just continue the cycle that way. The first plum might not bring up a proc but as long as the second one does you should be good (that's how it worked for me at least)

2-3 plums from kobold brown to soot black. from ink blue should have been 2 valfruits and 2 pineapples. Same from deepwood.

Two pineapples will get you to ink blue.

It's becoming impossible to help with the daily limit to posting/replying.

@ Zenaku, I think doing the one fruit is perfect to see the result, if not, instead of resetting, break the color loop, get something else entirely but not that far away. Same for the stuck in the deepwood/ink/kobold loop.
