Yeah it’s pretty easy to manage it after they made it near impossible to actually drop, if they want enochian to continue to be a resource to actually manage to keep going properly they really need to do something to restrict transpose, sure you lose DPS to cancelling a spell just to use transpose to keep enochian up, but you always lose more damage to letting enochian drop so it’s never actually a decision

Bro when I hit glare over 150 times in a medium optimized fight that is 12 mins long then good lord the role needs new paint badly. Content like top made me almost fall asleep when I play whm that in comparison summoner is gameplay heaven.

Unless you're a SGE, in which you get 4 buttons with Phlegma and Eukrasia. Which is why Yoship said healers that want to DPS should play SGE. Because you press four buttons sometimes instead of 2.

These are my casts on a bad grey log as sgn in top. Fight has 2,5 minutes downtime, so in short 16,5 mins of pure casting. This is a safe run with me shielding almost all big aoes. If you tell me with a straight face pressing 1 for 181 is fine then I can’t take you serious anymore. And you know my reward for being better as healer would be pressing 1 even more. The role needs fresh paint or every veteran will sooner or later jump ship.

Like I wrote in my post above sage has 4 dps buttons and I get on a bad grey log still almost 190 casts dosis in. And my reward getting better is more Dosis cast

I've noticed that people who try and defend current healer design always nitpick the "press 1 button" line. It's like they can't defend anything else, so they just focus on that one line and say you're just lying and exaggerating and it's not that bad.

Makes you think, don't it?

It’s also funny when people act like phlegma or assize is “another button” to press when there is not a single piece of interesting interaction they actually do with them (assize isn’t even a GCD), really the only remotely interesting healer damage button is energy drain because that actually changes how you approach the class (ShB lily’s would have counted as well)

I had a trigger happy medica 2 spammer in euphorsyne yesterday to the point the only healing I did in the entire fight was Eos embrace, I still only cast energy drain 1/8 th of the amount of times I cast broil and you cast energy drain almost 3 times as much as phlegma or assize, they are not remotely good as “meaningful damage buttons”

Pretty sure a decent number of these people either had a moment were they once didn’t get a heal or shield and died or they play healer for the free carry and content relax. They do a nextflix series, YouTube or x while doing dungeon and effectively waisting the time of 3 other people because pressing 1 is such a hard as hell gameplay.

Don't you get it? You actually have to move closer to the enemy to cast Phlegma. That means it's special.

i think there needs to be some compromise, on one end i agree that there needs to be more engagement with some of the healers, on the other hand i like to turn my brain off and be a glare mages sometimes, plus healer is the de-facto class to put your "i'm not learning to play that but ill be dammed if you exclude me from X" friend/spouse/family member..

so i say at least half the healers need to be overhauled and add some engaging rotational dps mechanics to them. i vote to leave whm as it is for newer players and people learning still to have a entry level healer to fall back on, i say WHM because it is the healer kit class, it has all the heal buttons, it makes sense for its damage profile to be less defined as a result.

side note, fix shields to not overtire each other, allow shields to stack together as long as they are derived from a different source, with the exception to the DRK TBN that shield should stay separate and always count as first on the priory list for damage taken to shield as its crucial to the DRK game play.
