Yeah there's a few like that unfortunately, it's probably the visor going up and down on this one that made them choose to disable it for Viera.

I might be naive but I do think the overhaul that comes with 7.0 might actually fix coming hats.

Let's not be realistic, probably not. And I'm not just talking about Hrothgar and Viera.
They rarely deliver more than they promised and all they ever said about the graphical update was pretty much a texture swap and shader upgrade.

Anything that requires more than copy+paste, is probably a no go.

I hope after 16 get's released we will get some of our devs back and the content will get better. But I will not dare hope. And as far as I know, the only thing Hrothgar gets are the 2 hairstyles shown. Keep the expectations low and be pleasantly surprise folk!

I'll gonna be so upset when in 6.5 hrothgar dont get caught up qith viera bc by 6.5 viera will absolutely have the ONE hair 99% of hroth players have wanted since it dropt in the game (Windcaller) and we'll have to wait til maybe 7.0 (which will be like 10 months after 6.5 drops ugh) or 7.1 and the fact that viera have gotten every Bozjan Content hair before the actual freaking native race of Bozja sticks in my side like appendicitis.
We REALLY are not asking for the moon I really dont think it shouldve been this much trouble to get hroth decent updates, but they chopped off ears and god forbid you do TWO things in 6.2 (add ears back and give hroth more options viera got previously).

You have every right to be upset, it upsets me too even though I don’t even play hrothgar but we both got released at the same time, so the trend of what we get should continue to be at the same time. I honestly don’t get it anymore at this point, how many people do they have working on this? One intern? Because it sure starts to feel like it.

I hope with 16 being DONE (pls no dlc) and being sold on a platform with tens of owners- dozens even- they put a buttload of effort into 6.5.
Catch hroth up with viera, make relics actually involve even mild effort beyond just "do your dailies!", etc etc.
I dont expect an ultimate (nor do I care tbh) after the mass youtuber posting videos with very obvious evidence of 3rd party tool use but at least catch hroth up with viera before 7.0/whenever they deign to release even 1 240p print out of 1 face of a female hrothgar

Prayer circle for Gyr Abanian Plait, Form and Function and maybe one of the much-requested Mogstation styles (Y'shtola's, Minfilia's). My bets for other base game styles are on the unisex bun and perhaps the bob. It seems clear to me that they are going to be skipping a few more character creator styles that look too similar in favour of getting through the list faster, maybe so they can be done the Viera hair updates by 6.5. Hrothgar updates should realistically double in speed once the Viera updates are wrapped up.

I've seen requests for both Samsonian and Wind Caller recently. Maybe in the preliminary patch notes thread.

They all look fine at first glance tbh. It just isnt what I wanted at all of the hairstyles left.

not only did viera get every bozja hairstyle before the actual race of bozja but hrothgar still dont have the ability to use their own racial hair regardless of face, because of freaking course we didn't why would we
7.0 gonna be the first time playing as hrothgar is actually rewarding, so like...a full year til then good god.

Yeah, definitely NOT the hairstyles I wanted with what was left. Two of basically the exact same short style as well as two of my least wanted Modern Aesthetics. That said, Samsonion will probably get some use for folks and I don't think any of them looks bad. Wind Caller just happens to be among my least favourite styles in the game. I am happy to know we got it because that means Hrothgar should have a better idea when they will get it. 7.0 looks like the likely drop time for Hrothgar Wind Caller based on this.

Don’t worry about it, neither of us would have known what they actually end up adding in game and to be fair, anyone would have expected the actual popular hairstyles to be added instead of yet again short unisex. Samsonian is nice I guess, Ill have to see how it looks on my character.

For sure. At the end of the day it is still more options and not every option needs to be for me.

On a positive note I think these hairstyles just prove how gorgeous, feminine and stoic fem Viera really are. I think they all look good on my character and give her different vibes even if they aren't hairstyles I would have picked out of an immediate lineup. The braid is pretty unique and they all have nice hairlines for the head accessories (tiaras, flowers) we have access to at the moment.

Everyone else has those two short styles one after the other, and in the long run I would rather they do everything as systematically and consistent with the order of the other races' list as possible. Different people are still going to prefer one style or the other out of the two.

Don't fret about patch by patch. The final goal is having everything available. We will get there.

Well, you see, the problem now is they already DID skip styles in order (fringeless wavy from last patch and now the bun as well as the bob) so if you're hoping they do it systematically and consistently they already stopped. We kind of don't really know what they're going to add now and when. The order was broken as of last patch and continues to be more broken this one.

I agree with you, of course. The goal is getting them all and we will eventually, but this patch is undeniably a big disappointment in terms of options compared to last patch. On an individual level I think they are all fine and I hope folks get use out of them. If you're looking for someone fretting you are responding to the wrong person tbh.

Where did I say I hoped they would skip more? I think you are misunderstanding me completely. I personally do not care in what order things are ported as long as everything gets ported eventually. All I said is it is evident they are skipping styles which means we no longer have a definitive way to guess what will be skipped and what won't be (in terms of character creator styles.) In the end they will probably all be added but I am curious what exactly makes them decide to skip some styles and add others. It seems like it's being done with no real rhyme or reason.

I can not care about when things get added and still be disappointed that we have to wait a bit longer for preferred styles. These are independent thoughts.

Pretty happy with the roster for Hrothgar and Viera this time. Was expecting 2 and got 6, am pretty happy. We also got to see that we in 2 patches will get Windcaller and Samsonian Locks! But if I was to be a debby downer, more like in 3 patches (7.1) cause they might say that 7.0 was a full expansion and adding the hair on top of that might be too much. Still, happy with what we got, not only Hrothgar got some beautiful options but also Viera finally has some styles that show the forehead without goving them a 5 head! Good job, SE, keep it up!

6.0 included a Viera update so I'm sure 7.0+ will continue the trend until they are finished. Thankfully they fixed the fundamental problem and we always get new styles so they aren't continuously digging themselves deeper, just digging themselves out of the hole they created. Eventually they will reach the top.

They better have fixed a lot of stuff with Hrothgar and released female Hrothgar with 7.0, else they're going to see a LOT of outrage. I think everybody in the playerbase would call them out on it if we don't see female Hrothgar, since we'd have been without our other gender for 3 expansions now.
