I've finally bloody done it! Mole Brown is miiiiine~
After calming my rage from him turning Mud Green when the stats I showed where litteraly -4 away from perfection. I tried again from there and he turned Opo-Opo Brown.
and I found that feeding a Chocobo just 5 O'Ghomoro Berries once they hit Opo-Opo Brown turns them into it.
I did try to feed him one every 6 hours but he was slowly turning green again.. So I reversed what I did until I hit back to Opo-Opo and went balls to it with all 5 at once.

My Conclusion is 3 Pine 1 Apple
This should arrange R>G>B which increase the chance to get soot black but i see you already feed him.Good Luck.

so each fruit is just a +/_ 5?

Can someone see if this makes sense: I'm currently at midnight blue, trying for ink blue. Midnight blue is at (20, 21, 49) while Ink Blue is at (22, 26, 34) according to the spreadsheet; so if I want to get to ink blue, I would add one pear (which puts me at 15, 26, 44) one pineapple (to put me at 20, 31, 39), and then one apple to put me finally at 25, 26, 34, which is hopefully close enough to get ink blue. Does this make sense? Or should I try just doing one colour change at a time from midnight? Any advice would be great! :)

In my quest for Snow White I've somehow ended up at Colibri Pink. How should I go about getting to Snow White from here?

Hi guys, I have same problem with loop colors , From marsh green(feed 2 berries with 1 feather msg) become deepwood green (feed 1 Pineapple with 1 feather msg) and back again to marsh green, im trying to get soot black. I think i might feed it wrong fruit when it at Deepwood green. Now i end up back to marsh green, Any advice from here? :( thx in advance

Well, I was Midnight Blue, trying for Soot Black... and ended up with Ink Blue.
2 pinapples (got one feathers message)
2 apples (got two feathers messages)
2 pears (got two feathers messages)

I guess I am close ... mine ended up Ink Blue. Since one of my 2 pineapples did not get a message, I guess that might be why it didn't hit Soot.

So... how to go from Ink Blue to Soot Black? I've seen a few people say a single pineapple got them a feather message and then they got Soot... it takes 2 pineapples for my bird to get a feather change message (I pulled him out to cancel it since I figured 2 pineapples may move him to far off on other colors.)

That said, Ink Blue is pretty good looking as well. At this point getting Soot Black is a matter of principle though.

I try it now. i on rolandberry red (again...) and try to come to marsh green with it. many fruits for 1 feed season when i have it understand.

Okay this is odd... I tried going for soot black from a single pineapple feed, but it took 2 feedings to get a message. Removed bird from stables to cancel, then replaced. Feed again and got same results, removed to cancel again.

Then I ran around a while with the Ink Blue bird to get a feel of the color. Then I went back to my FC house, re-stabbled him, and now it takes THREE pineapples to get the same message (in all 3 instances the stables were fully clean & sparkling) feeding took place in the evening.

So there may be a time of day or other factor that comes into play to determine procs?

Would someone be able to tell me how to get to Soot Black from Acorn Brown?

I've went from Blood Red to Dalamud Red after feeding of berries. My goal is Mesa red. How can I get from Dalamud Red to Mesa Red? The chart seems to say not more berries, so pears I guess?

Okay so unless there's been some new revelation in how this works, going by the number of messages and using that calculator, I'm trying to get slate grey on my second chocobo. Just fed all the fruits, another 5hr 40 mins hopefully it will be the colour I want

I can't seem to get Lotus Pink. I was at Snow White but both Valfruit and Berry have given me Ice Blue. I don't know what to try and feed him next. Now it's Ice Blue and I just fed him a Pear to bring him back to White.

As you can see you very close to soot black i would wait too someone else can say go ahead and do 5 berry 5 apple and 5 pear. I thinking you would also have to get 15 overall growing message even if you feed over the 5. just wait and see what other have to say you may end up getting other color but you still be very close to black.

I fed 2x valfruit, and then 2x pineapple. I got the feather messaging on everything from the second valfruit to the last pineapple.

4 berry and it should take you to deepwood green then you end up doing what i'm testing out right now. 2x valfruit, and then 2x pineapple that how Chek got his soot black. If i get my soot black in 4 hours and you get deepwood green from yours then we all get our soot black in no time.

There a chance you may end up in ink blue or Kobold Brown but that ok there all close to soot black too.

So previous suggestions unfortunately haven't quite worked out for me, and I've now gone from midnight blue to grape purple on my quest for ink blue. Any suggestions on how to get to ink blue from grape purple?

So I had Grape Purple and fed it 2x Apple, 4x Pear, 1x Valfruit, 1x Berry.
It was suppose to be soot black and I even got messages saying it was going to change feathers.
However, when i went back to check, nothing changed and it stayed Grape Purple.
So does anyone know what I should do?
How do I go from Grape Purple to Soot Black?
