FFXIV 2nd expansion: Viera-like race still a possibility?

Nothing beastlike such as seeq will ever be added. The devs dont want to reoutfit armor. So we have to ask ourselves what humanoid races we would like that are close to what there already is. Viera has my vote in this case.

What about the race that dragoon from IX was?

Burmecian... They would look cool too. They are tall, fast and lean.

I wouldnt mind burmecians either but they fall in the same category people are complaining about viera. The would have to make the feet and hands human and use a previously made chara ter modle most likely midlanders so it would be a human with rat ears and tails.

Like i said before atthis point if they are so similair why not just give use them? Give us more diversity for such little work if its just slapping bunny ears or rat ears on what we got just do it.

Because it would appear lazy (lazier than Au Ra)? also, head gear would need to be re-made just for them (which would annoy some players who are sick of ear-socks on their races), as ears clipping or ear socks would not look appealing at all.

Litterally everything in this game clips though lol. Vierra ears would be so long it would just look like there are holes cut in the helmets. Like fran wore

Well Au Ra and Viera, the real gap between -someone- in ARR's team and Akihiko Yoshida (visual/character designer in FFXII and FFXIV 1.0), which is extremely noticeable when it comes to compare ARR and 1.0's art.

To do satyr, it's not just the boots that would need to be removed or completely redesigned, but pants as well. Satyrs have goat legs, which bend like those of most four legged animals, with the heel being an extra leg joint rather than dropped down to form part of the foot like on humans.

Honestly, I don't believe that Ronso is out of the question either. I'd would just be a Roegeden with a tail and horn, the only thing is the face would be different and thus need some helmet tweaking. Honestly though, I don't care what race is added as long as it's something different. The Auri didn't interest me that much and neither do the Viera.
