I honestly think that would probably be even worse. People would just continue to try and sell their houses AND get paid when they transfer/relinquished. Housing is also supposed to be a gil sink and it's bad enough they now give back 80% for demolitions, but giving back the full cost would completely remove this much needed gil sink. We have many things that add money into the economy, but very few actually taking money back out.

Yes I could see that potentially. To me it sounds like you're somewhat ok with they way housing is setup then? I agree with the gil going in and out, and that's why i think overpaying for housing is NBD, cause what else should you be spending your hundreds of millions of gil on?

Yes and no. I don't have a problem with the pricing or losing the money on relinquishment (done this a few times now, often when dropping one I've found so an FC member can grab it), but like everyone else I don't like that the supply doesn't meet the demand.

Heh I've never personally had that much, I tend to hover around the 10 million mark. Never that worried about getting/making more because like you said, what to spend it on? I don't really know what to suggest though, if they put in anything super awesome that's really expensive, lots of people who can't afford it would complain. And if it's something mediocre, no one will care/want it anyway.

Thank you for your response Yoshi P. How about submitting an application through the mogstation. On there, you put your info in, such as your name, server, the plot size you want, etc. After putting in your information, you will get a email telling you the your application has been submitted and they will notify you again when your plot is ready. Once the new wards were made, the player will get another email letting them know what is the number plot it is and go there to build. That way players will not have to stop and make mad dash to the new wards because all they will have to do now is wait for their email and do what they want to do until then.

Find a personal house with an empty garden, ask the owner if he'll let you use his garden. You just need to be on his friend list with housing permissions. After you spend 5M growing 10 onions, you'll realize why they cost 220k on the MB.

I don't understand why people spend ANY overhead within the context of gardening. I make bank, but I farm every seed and soil.

My retainers farm them for me, except for unspoiled node seeds. Whether you call it overhead or not, you're using a decent amount of time and materials that you could have sold.

Not really. Each node takes 30 seconds, and spread the amount needed throughout 5 days, which is the average cycle, it's not much at all. Some nodes can get up 15 seeds each gather cycle, opposed to some are 1. And the materials you " could've sold " is a moot point, cause when interseccting seeds, you are upgrading your value on each cycle, for example growing blood peppers or glazenuts. You could sell the old world fig and prickly pineapple for 10k each, or intersect them to blood pepper and glazenuts for anywhere from 125-300k. So we've dismissed the time argument cause it is minimal, now we've dismissed the " materials you could have sold " because all they did was up their value exponentially. And while time can in a way be considered overhead, it doesn't affect the bottom line because you didn't spend any gil. They grown on their own, minus the watering.

The way I see in this system to defend is very slim and it shows no justification in people hogging houses and selling it for ridiculous prices. If people don't want to use that house, then just let people have who really want it.

If you want to sell it only for resale price to have it back, i'll understand. But to sell it for 200-500m on a large, then 30-50 for small and 80-150m for medium is like definitely showing the way of people being more greedier than it needs to. That's why housing system in this cannot be defended whatsoever.

They cost so much on the market board because they're a pain in the neck to make (If you don't buy the seeds that is) and if you did you just cut into your profits to save time. You have to crossbreed two seeds to get one type seed (5 days), crossbreed two other seeds to get another type of seed (3 days), crossbreed those new seeds you got together to make onion seeds (5-6 days) and then assuming you actually got some onion seeds (not guaranteed) it's another 10 days to actually grow those into a working onion.

Multiple plots required to make it effective so you can have all 4 stages going at once or it's incredibly slow going.
