There does not appear to be any record of a ticket in-game other than a quick blurb when submitting about a GM getting back to me shortly. I have not yet been contacted and I am unsure if I should submit another ticket.

I believe the Bard issue they addressed was the one preventing you from obtaining Alumina Salts from Chimera.

Well I was on the last step of the quest and now I have to start over. This doesn't fill me with confidence. :/

My weapon disappeared also. Was at HM Garuda, hadn't logged on in about 2 months, only played here and there, then noticed when patch came out, my weapon is gone.

Spent about 170,000 gil getting items to make it and the tip for the person who made it for me.

This happened I believe after 2.1 released, but to be on the same side, I would say from 2 months back from today.

I had something weird happened after I went to get the glyph from AK..did the trade and got the unfinished weapon back, but it didn't have the materia melded into it. So if I killed the necessary mobs in the next step, it won't give me credit. I'm not sure what happened?

Finally beat titan HM and after I traded him the primal items to finish the quest, and it started me back at the beginning again :(. Started relic reborn and got to garuda before 2.1 patch and finished titan after and now I'm left to do it again apparently.

Same problem as others. Finished Hydra with unfinished weapon equipped.
Returned to Gerolt and now My quest log is at the very beginning of the quest line.
I'm very depressed about this . Please help.

Ifrit - completed Ifrit hard mode returned to Gerolt. Was showing new quest sign so clicked on it, realised it was the relic quest but no means to prevent getting the quest which set me back to its start. Lost weapon that Geholt was holding and the white hot ember item from Ifrit from my inventory.

The first post in this thread about the bugged relic quest was 13th September, just a couple of weeks after release. It amazes me that a quest as important as the relic weapon quest should so regularly break, and has done so for FOUR MONTHS. It takes effort and co-ordination with other people to get stuff done for this, it costs a lot of gil to get the weapon and materia, and for some in small FCS, who have banged their head many, many times on pickup group Titan HM...a load of gil to go in a guaranteed kill group. In all it impacts not just the quest player but others who put aside time/gil to help them. Is there any progress at all on finding what is wrong? Some dev input would be appreciated.

Have these 200+ people been assisted? Has their bought weapon been returned to them? Have completed parts of the quest had their items returned? What are SE doing about this?

This was months ago, I received same problem that my relic quest DISSAPEARED from my duty list after Titan HM.

I had to report it twice, through several means in game and through ticket request, on my third day of waiting I received twice the SAME generic message designating myself at fault for "abandoning accidentally" the quest. Like several players here, one even tapped the fight with the mission active, this was an in game error.

On another issue I spoke to GM about my problem and he also directed me at the forums, when I pointed out that this problem had over 212 submissions open since mid 2013 and was still on-going, he was surprised. This is a problem that needs fixing, without setting blaim to the player instantly. I've replied to the message, when I was issued a ticket and waited for two days, I expect a personalized conversation with someone, not a generic response.

I'm Ecoli Con from Sargatanas, lost my SMN relic after Titan around 8PM EST.

Edit: While I do not expect to receive the relic done, I had completed several fights and primals leading to Titan, return their KI items and book so I may continue where the game had an error.

A response from anyone official, from anywhere be it email or the forum, would be greatly appreciated.

I just finished the quest "The Weaponsmith of Legend" and talked to Gerolt. After I handed in the quest, he didn't give me a quest to progress on the Relic quest.

I have to say though, even though this happened to me way back, what do you expect them to do about it? :/

The only option they have to fix this is to do a rollback on your character, making you lose all progress. Despite them not acknowledging this as a bug on their end but rather user error, and thus not issuing a rollback,would you really still want to?

I made note of mine somewhere december i believe. Since then i not only completed the relic quest for that job once again merely a week later, i also did 2 more relics on top of that and leveled all my other crafters to 50. Surely i dont want to see that progress ruined now. Was i upset about it at first? Sure. I was at Titan and it was hard back then :/ Now it's a cakewalk and not worth losing all your time and work over.

Ok I thought this had happened to me, I made a post and everything, but I have deleted it because I realized that I actually dropped the quest when I was trying to leave a dungeon, totally my bad, I was at fault

but, the journal and the duty log do look very similar, and the abandon button is in the same place, so if someone is on auto pilot, just opening the menu to click the abandon button they likely don't realize what they have done until its too late

moral of they story, slow down and read stuff before you click it [or maybe change the look of the duty log? (lol j/k) ]

Completed all the steps, including farming Titan HM for three days in DF to finally get a kill. Went and turned quest into Gerolt, next quest after turn in was me going back to U'Ghammaro mines to find a new stardust rod. Everything was lost. No new items in my bags, the Sanguine Scepter with two materia gone...EVERYTHING gone. Submitted three tickets via in-game help, no response..called SE and was told that I had to submit through the game.

Happened to me also tonight. I downed all three with my warrior and it acted as if I didn't. Signed up for these forums to see if there was anything. I reported a bug in game also like 5 minutes after it happened. :( Was so excited to get it before it went down to update.

Not receiving the items for my relic after downing HM primals. 5th job that I am doing it for and 3 in the past month so know I am doing it right. The pieces don't appear in my key items after win. Did all three tonight and they weren't there. I am not sure if they were there at one time because I didn't think to check since I downed all three in 2 hours or so and just used to it working without issue.
