Unable to update the group NA/EU Character List but no maintenance is on

No, I play on Behemoth and my character on that server has not shown up for me all day.

Having disconnection issues there too.

I got error 90000 while exiting an instance yesterday. When I tried logging back in I either get error 2002 (lobby server error), error 1017 (world is full), NP/EU list could not be updated. Sometimes the game crashes or just exits.

I am having the same problem tonight, but I was never in or doing an instance.. I was in the Inn using my retainer when I got error code 90000. After that I would try to log in and kept getting error code 1017.. Now it just gives me NA / EU servers unavailable : (

No. This month is not "free". We paid for it with the first purchase. SE just found it convenient to tack on the word "free" as an enticement when it was actually paid for. In business, there is no such thing as free (even "donations" are paid for one way or another).

How is it that there isn't a queue system in place that goes above 100? I could careless if i was number 1000 it would at least free me up from having to constantly try to log in manually while praying for a queue number.

Same here. 90000 zoning at around 4pm today, it's almost 9 now. Hope somebody in charge is reading this.

Sooo I literally just shoved my foot in my mouth here. I just got queued and my number is 202! LOL

I think that is what they have failed to realize most. Everyone seems to be in agreement that if they even had a que atm most of us wouldn't be here complaining about this. Atleast you would feel like there is some kind of progress being made on getting in. But instead we just the hollow ass "sorry your world is full try later" crap... or oh look we can't even find your NA/EU server list... oh well... thanks for playing anyways!

I disconnected also zoning into ul'dah and now I can't get past start screen without 2002. Just too many people. It's the weekend afterall. Not that it should be an excuse, but seeing as how Yoshi admitted to the oversight and also is trying to fix it, I'm okay waiting a week or two to start playing. FFXI has been out for 10 years, and this FF is finally successful saleswise. I think there is always more time to appreciate it once the beginning nightmares are solved.

Leviathan char here reporting that I also cannot log into the the servers.

Just got a queue position after 8 hours of on and off trying and getting every error possible. 403... seems like that's higher at least. So at bare minimum they are queuing up to 500. No word yet on whether or not I'll get DC'd between now and entering the world. Wouldn't be the first time for that either.

Update: Disconnected on first queue refresh. Disappointed to say the least.

Just log out. And keep logging in. The NA/EU servers will eventually show up... They are up.

Once you finally get the server list up you will most likely run into 1017.

Th NA/EU list doesn't appear neither.

Reporting in that I also have the same problem. Started around noon PST-US when the servers were brought down. I am no longer able to pull up a list of NA/EU servers and my character is on Excalibur.

I'm getting the same thing. Earlier today it was NA/EU servers, then it was error code 10102, now it's error code 2002. That was a new one for me. I'm enjoying the game, just a little disappointed now that the game is technically "Live."

The NA server list was unavailable to me until just a few minutes ago. My character from the Goblin NA server now appears in my character list, however I am unable to login to the server. I am receiving the dreaded 1017 error. So far I have been unable to enter a queue.

EDIT: I am in a server queue! 166 people currently waiting to log in.

Now I can't even get into the character selection screen. Come on SE, your letting us down before most of use can play the game fully.

I got this a while ago today, just said F it and never tried again. Good to know I can't really use my 30 days -___-

Add me to that Ul'dah list. Tried zoning from the Gladiator guild into steps and got a 90000 error and been offline over 8 hours because of it.

Can't obtain the NA/EU server list. Have tried restarting client and computer numerous times. Can get the JP server list just fine. My husband is able to get the NA list and is playing two feet away just fine. Same OS. Same router, etc.. This is some garbage. A week and I still really haven't been able to play.

As an update to my last post here a few minutes ago, I did restart the client several times since then and was able to finally get the NA/EU server list to populate. I can't get in the game because the server is full but at list the list populated! =D

The common problem when you try log in during peek hours are:

1/Your Character does not show up. Some might think it has been deleted. In fact it is not. The client simply can not fed up the data from the world you have your char reside in. Log in and out a few time and problem will be solved.
2/Unable to update NA/EU server list. Same cause and use the same solution as problem #1
3/The world currently full. Please try again later. This is the most annoying message ever. If you get this you can not do anything but wait, wait and wait and hope for your luck ._.!!
4/The Lobby Error. I don't know what cause this but it can be fixed by log out and log in again.

Anything else I am missing?

I'm having the same experience too. I guess we just have to wait it out in the meantime?

After multiple restarts of the game, I got NA servers to load.

However, now I'm getting 1017s when trying to log in, except now it hangs for about 15 seconds when I hit "Start" wherein it tells me that the Group JP servers cannot be loaded, as if I care.

So now I have to restart the entire client, hope the NA servers load, and if I get that far, I have to go through 25 second attempts to login, getting 1017 as usual, and on the rare occasion I've gotten into a queue, I have to hope that it doesn't 1017 on me, or, as it has a few times, tell me that there was a lobby connection error and close the game out on its own.

Then I get to start the whole process over again!

got the same freaking issue:( i dont think i had a day where it didnt take me 30-60 minutes to get into game.

I have been trying this for the last 30 minutes. Sill getting 2002 error (Lobby Error). Why has SE not commented on this problem? Everything on here and Twitter says that the issues they had were fixed, but they obviously aren't fixed. I hate how silent SE is about all this. It takes them forever to let us know that they are even aware of the issues, if they even say anything at all.

Much like almost everyone else, I am either getting the Unable to load group JP (or NA/EU) list message, or the 1017 error. And the Character Selection screen takes a few minutes (or I have to quit and retry) to even get that. I'm almost at level 20 and the Ifrit fight and I want to do it!

So, its 11:00 pm and I have been trying to get on all day! I am not one to complain...but this is a bit excessive. There has to be a level of accountability here! I have seen posts were people are saying that we shouldn't complain or whatever, but we all paid for a product that we expect to work as advertised. I think we all expected some issues; I've been a part of many MMO launches and knew that launch would be a bit troublesome. Never did I expect such incompetence. There are a few things that they could do to help those of us who truly are ready to play and not log in to just AFK indefinitely. For one kick AFK'ers and make them relog!! I am sure that would clear up some room. I think it’s crazy that I have been trying to log in all day and can't get in while some jackass is parking his toon for hours at a time! We all obviously enjoy the game or we wouldn't be on here bitching about not being able to play. I hope this gets corrected quickly before we go from venting on forums to quitting the game all together.

I had a feeling I wouldn't be playing anytime this weekend and having tried to log in since 10 AM today... so far my prediction has been right.

OK, so here is what I did to repair this issue:

- Completely closed out the client and restarted until it showed me the NA/EU server list (first time it told me it could not update the JP list)
- Did my normal "num 0" spam but at a much slower pace due to the "Unable to obtain JP world list" a few times.
- After about 4 attempts it went back to normal (both world lists showing/no error/quick change from Start screen to character screen) and continued num 0 spam
- Hit the "Cannot obtain NA/EU world list" error again after about 15 minutes of standard num 0 spam.
- Completely closed out the client and restarted.
- Went back to standard num 0 spam for another 10 minutes and then was thrown in to queue.

It seems that it's just the pain of having to keep doing things over and over and over and over, but you will make it there at some point, I promise!

I was get this same problem almost every day. If I want to play I often can log on only by 1am (eastern) it lets me without any errors.

It's 11:30pm now and for the first time (this early) it let me get into queue (54). then not even 30 seconds later error 1017 pops up over top my queue position and I am forced to exit the game :mad:

Just after midnight USA East Coast time and still unable to get on. JP servers either won't appear or are all full. I had hoped to be able to play all this weekend since it's a holiday. This is a great game, provided you can get and keep logged in.
