Either way, you pretty much tried to feel superior by saying you'd prefer to do it the hard way. What can I say, gimps calling other people gimps, gets under my skin.
And you calling DBM a bot is pretty funny. It's a glorified alarm system.
So me feeling superior (your words) by doing things that are harder is wrong. Yet you feeling superior by doing easy things is right. Cool story bro.
Edit to your Edit: Alarms dont have giant arrows telling you where to go and flashing bold lettering infront of your face telling you when to get out of the fire.
Oh boy people are being bated for sure.

Threads gone off topic real quick to just focusing on a single poster who is looking to rile people up.
If it increases my overall enjoyment while playing the game, yes. If not, no. Never used anything precisely like this as i didn't play WoW seriously. But i did use the plugins in XI that gave distance/recasts etc, and it made my playing experience more enjoyable. So i think i would like something like this personally.
And i personally, won't spend too much time worrying about whether others are using it. I already do very few things in pickup groups, and i aim to do as little as possible in pickup groups. And i would like to think that the reason i do things with particularly people is that they have similar gaming views as myself. So i don't ever see myself in a situation where it becomes an issue over people using, or not using said programs.
Whoa Whoa Whoa, first off

Bam.
2nd, my 11 gear? the only gear you could possibly see is the gear I logged out in, which has no weapon equiped because ffxiah didnt record the "new" weapon when I quit playing (2nd masamune on the server). I had 9 decked out jobs excluding relics. (that set im wearing was also a beast ws set for sam, in abyssea... it was also a 5hit build or something, idr).
Your entire set of gear is terrible. I seriously hope that it's town gear. And congratulations on the easiest empyrean path.
What's that about game mods guys? Nothing...nothing at all?
I guess it's about time this thread closed up shop.
Technically it was, but its also a WS set, if you played when abyssea was out, you would know its not terrible, acc isnt an issue with atma's, virtually nothing is an issue with atma's, its all pure damage.
I got mine at lvl85 cap and again, 2nd on server to do so, when it was hard to kill carabossa.
Maby you should lead by example, considering you started it?
You used SAM head +2 in your WS set.
Really?
And like I said, it's not down to opinion, there's math to back up optimal gear in XI. By not using it you're terrible. No superiority, just fact.
Edit: It was never hard to kill Carrabosse.
You could do it at 85 with 6.
I think I used Twilight Helm or something? The hell I care about what i logged off in, theres really nothing you can say, I literally had everything for sam outside of relic and AV items, and Carrabosse was hard when it came out. Your delusional.
Edit to your Edit: Hence how I got my masamune at lvl85. herpderp? I also did it with 4 after the setup was learned.
Carrabosse was a joke..I could tank that on my DNC when cap was 85 lol. Masamune is by far the easiest empy to get...
You can have everything and use it incorrectly. As is apparent by your gearset.
I wouldn't say I dropped a red herring, your argument wasn't exactly part of an open debate. You say that DBM was a bot and the majority disagree with you.
You start talking about how you do everything the hard way. Your gear was used as a bolster to my argument that "Gimps who call other people gimps, get under my skin".
And no, comparatively Carabosse was cake walk with competent DDs and WHMs.
The gear I logged out in on 11 in port jueno is obv all of my gear sets, your just so smart, you know that? I get that your saying the mob is easy now, and it was at 85 (after it was figured out, I was the 2nd to finish the entire empy weapon on the server, I was in the group of 4 that got the first masamune completed (Takemura) on the server, I had mine within 12hrs of hers, I figured out how to fkn kill it, sure it was easy after us. Anything can be considered easy once the work is done.
What magical secrets? Stun her nukes during winter breeze? (Like every fairy in the game) and try to hold MP back (85) for her benediction? People were beating Carabosse as soon as the servers went up, I watched a LS on Shiva kill it whilst I was farming fly pops. The fight was straight forward.
Oh lawd.
Keep believing bro, I'm sure that you spent a long time working out some super cool strategies against Carabosse. My favourite strategy was the "Don't die and kill her" strategy. It worked wonders.
And yes, at 85. If you think your LS was the first to take her down you're sorely mistaken. I don't think any other LS would even make a big deal about it. She wasn't even the main zone boss.
I'm sure that 5 gear swaps per macro were your thing too.
Either way, this is off topic now.
Do you honestly like doing this, this much? Everything you say is speculation from my gear set, which you cant see the whole thing, and picking at it through 3-4 post even though at the time, it was BiS, and now carrabosse, we werent proud about the carrabosse kill, or even the empy weapon, we were sad at how easy it was after we were finished and walked up to Tiamat and did a 3k fudo > 3k fudo > 3k light. Nothing about is abyssea should anyone be proud about, and the zone boss was by far easier than carrabosse and I stress "easier" not that any of it is hard after what you need to do is figured out.
I agree, completely off topic, and yet, your about to post again!
I can tell that you were proud of it, so there's no point lying about that. Oh and let me guess, now you're going to say that Tiamat was a difficult fight too. Every post you make is trying to show off about shit that just shouldn't be boast worthy.
You're 100% right about Carabosse not being something to brag about. There were only a few things in Abyssea that were difficult (without a brew) and Carabosse was not one of them. Pre Abyssea there were two or three difficult fights and a few difficult situations.
I really hope you don't brag about taking down the kings or doing Salvage.
Wow your just... an idiot, I did not say Tiamat is hard, I said it was sad I could Fudo for 3k dmg, thats insane, and proved the game was dead. Nothing is hard in a game or in rl once you know how to do it.
I know your about to make another post, because you apparently have to, but im going to sleep, lol, gn.~
Oh my, now hardly anything in XI was worth boasting about...man I did like to boast about my solo/duo limbus runs those were fun and hectic.
Then again I'm totally blind to the game after the cap raise from 75 my character got hacked and I decided to call it quits there and focus on the upcoming release of XIV back then.
But seriously guys...FFXIV...
Unless your game is designed like Demon Souls / Dark Souls old content will always become like that Jeronlmo - hard content becomes really easy.
Seeing as how SE is doing stats in FFXIV, that will definitely happen here in this game as well.
So you are one of those people that make comments on threads.
I had a feeling you were one of those.
. . . Sorry I had to join in somewhere.. :D
Back on topic - Would you use a deadly boss mod or not?
Background:
(Deadly boss is a mod in WoW that tells you when as boss does an action and what to do for certain actions in order to fight a boss effectively - taking out the element of memorization and some of the on the toe decisions, it however doesn't make any actions for you)
DBM for World of Fantasy that got LK-like bossfights? Hell yeah!
I wouldnt be too sure of it being super gimp, Yoshida did talking about making API to make addons like in WoW. (Could be just a general example and not in exact form, obviously just speculation).
I would use something that puts in a box "Boss is casting "x" ", or a notification when a buff wears off (you can "program" these into echo macro's but its ugly and annoying to watch chat).
Someone said DBM actually pointed to were you need to stand, thats a bit much - thats something not even a player could do in the middle of combat. But... hard to stop such a feature full addon without creating a restrictive API - or moderating addons (which will probably cost too much to be feasible).
While I may use it if its available - like others who have voiced their concerns, I really hope SE doesnt base content off of addons.
