they were all datamined last patch, but which comes directly from fight is still a guess until later...

Ok I got it FUN!!!

In a mmo people a lot won't do stuff unless they get gear out of it. It's the driving force in a gear baseed mmo like FFXIV, FFXI, WoW ect. You can find some people who will but not as many if there is a reward in it. In a single player RPG which is different you can put in many this fight is hard do it for the fun of it, but it doesn't work too well in a mmo when everything depends on getting more gear.

Hmm guess I forgot my sarcasm tags again, but still I like to have fun in MMOs, thats why I run to dangerous areas and die, I cover a cave with my goobbue so people can't see past, why I fight Van Darnus hard when I know I will die.

No, it means only Rivenroad (Hard) will yield rewards.

No, it means Rivenroad will give you some kinda reward only once. Probably something unimportant like exp or seals, or maybe something everyone gets 100%, but hardmode will apparently have (Dear God, here we go) a low drop rate reward...

I'm guessing hardmode reward will be the earring. If I'm understanding its stats right, it gives a small auto-refresh/regen, which is pretty cool.

I actually really want it. Not for its lame stats, but...c'mon, it looks cool. Though its probably the earring. The horn might be the regular mode reward.

It says the former will not give an reward after you beat it once, this is why i asked is because the former fight they mentioned is the hard mode.

Former would mean the first, meaning "Rivenroad".

Former is the one mentioned beforehand. Latter for be the latest mentioned. So Former is not hard mode.
