While i do not favor these specific hairstyles, i do appreciate the use of fantasy/ sci fi elements in to the looks. Many of these games have such fantastical elements but tie down the idea of adding these aspects to hair. Hope to see some styles more influenced by magic/ sci fi.

Viera are getting existing ones- since noone wanted new hairstyles for Viera, so you guys aren't getting new ones- just pre-existing ones added

I'm happy about it, but it's not like we voted on it or had any input lol

People were pretty open to the idea of Viera specific hairstyles initially, they just never made or released any. I'm still not entirely convinced it was ever really a thing and not just a weird translation for existing hairstyles adapted to Viera.

Making hairstyles exclusively for one race would have been a massive unnecessary drain on resources anyway.

Oh for sure, I hope Viera can wear Y'sthola's moddish hair & that it looks as good as I think it might
the Viera in FFXIV aren't as majestic or statuesque as they are in FFXII & although it'd be nice to get more Viera themed items for them (like Mjrn, Jote & Frans hair) FFXIV Viera are different in enough ways & honestly, the modern aesthetics hair should have been apart of their hairstyles from the start

That would be cool, but barring the ornamental Viera headpiece a short bob like Mjrn or longer, "wilder" hair like Jote could just as easily be made for everyone rather than just for Viera I feel.

Hopefully we'll see something similar added in the future :)

I agree with the Mjrn & Jote hair, and the headpiece could also be taggable on Viera
Trust me, I'm all for people getting viera hairstyles & vice versa
I'd look forward to seeing the ARR Y'sthola hair (the one with the gold clips) on Viera because it's so cute

Lalafells have more testosterone, because they come (giggity!) in a smaller package. Remember, they may be small but they ARE in charge. ;D

Hair like this would make me so happy, I love braids but the twin braided hairstyle we have in-game has bangs & I want twin braids without bangs.

On top of giving better hair and beards to older races,
I think they need to fix the bunny boys beards before they come out.
They look very bad or just don't even have any at all on some faces, and that's just wrong.

I saw new for Viera and that is good but still not seen anything for all the other races....I do hope we get a nice new one on release of endwalker. We are lacking in longer ponytail and braid styles, even just a nice long side braid with no silly fringe. The omega hairstyle would be cool.

I don't see clipping as a massive issue for long hairs, as everything clips to some degree. It's not about bulky armors, since most people wear slimming outfits & it's not about clipping weapons since we can hide them & there are plenty of weapon designs to accommodate players to some degree.

1. Please keep the topic focused around Hairstyles & Beards since this is what the thread is for!
   
   
2. If you want NPC Hairstyles, Racial Variety Hairstyles or Hairstyles not ingame but you would want to see- please post your requests here!
   
   
3. This thread is not limited to the pre ShB Races, please also include Viera & Hrothgar whether you want them to have shared styles with pre ShB races or entirely different styles unique to them, I encourage you post your examples so others can have a better idea!
   
   
4. Try to limit the picture spam so it doesn't flood the page & drown out others comment, just be considerate! (If you have alot of examples to show, limit the pictures to just 3-4 images per post depending on the size of the image. TL;DR post as many times as you want, just limit the amount of images per post please!
   
   
5. Post all of your hairstyle, eyebrow & Beard requests woes here! Megathreads supposedly get more attention

Emet-Selch's hairstyle

Hilda's ponytail is constantly requested & I'm one of the ones who looks forward to it being implemented one day (hopefully)
