When did calling PS4 players “console peasants” become acceptable?

I don't raid or do savage EX.

I don't care if you play on the PS4 or PS3.

I'm telling you the reason why "Someone who does Savage/EX" content might be prejudiced against PS4 players.

Your getting mad at someone who hasn't done any Savage or EX trials since 2015. The OP made a thread asking why PS4 Players are getting frowned upon by some players, and i gave you my opinion on why that may be. If your doing Savage/EX trials with friends/FC mates of course your not going to experience it. But if your trying to do some last minute runs Pugging it on a Sunday/Monday, get ready for some fireworks. You don't have to be a raider to figure that out lol.

Alright, I see where you are coming from. That is, where you stand on the matter. That said, as you haven't done the raids in awhile, you may be surprised to know that what you're describing may not be as prevalent as you think. Thankfully.

I haven't done raids/ex trials for years but i have seen from time to time PF advertisements with:

"No PS4 users"
"Must join discord and show us your FFLogs"
"Elitist PC masterrace raiders only" --- This one i seriously saw this week lol.

At the end of the day it all comes down to the number 1 reason: 3rd party Apps lol. That is the only reason i could think off why a elitist PC raider would call someone a PS4 Console Peasant.

And people want to say here, parsers and third apps don't give a advantage to PC users over PS4 users. Guess they're just trying to justify here, breaking the rules and using third party apps. Yet there is this stuff you talk about... The double standards...

As a ps4 player I am not sure what advantage you think PC has. I can still use discord. I can still look at my logs on FFLogs and see the breakdown of a fight and see where I need to improve etc. Parser really dosen't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, it is the logs that people use to help improve themselves. If you are using a parser and see you are doing xxxx amount of dps and you want to do more you cant just hit a magic button to push out more.

It is by looking at the logs and breaking everything down and looking at what you may be doing wrong, I.E letting dots drop to often, double pressing a skill during a rotation, not using an OGCD as often as you should be etc. and again as a ps4 player I have full access to fflogs. Sure I may not be able to parse and upload the logs myself but plenty of people in a group can and most likely do.

People are people and they can be butt heads. Don't let it get to you. I don't own a console but I'm happy to play with ya.

Don't bother arguing with them. They're trying so hard to convince themselves that they can't be good players without a parser.

Just going to post real quick from a different viewpoint -- as a JPN with many JPN friends, the majority of players in JPN use the PS4 to play since PC gaming isn't really a thing there. Surely there are many PC players, but the PS4 is almost like a toaster in most homes (everyone has one) - which is why the controller set up was baked in from the very start. All of this stuff about 'PC master race' is better than consoles is, I think, mostly a US thing. I play on PC since it is what I played FFXI on, and I have a decent PC, but many of my friends play on PS4 and are just as good or better than I ^^ At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you play on as long as you play and play well (if you're into EX/Savage). ^^

PC or PS4 as long the boss get killed who cares

Here's mine, also on PS4, also randomly taken by PC players I PUG'd with (so these aren't cultivated runs). Some really good BLM runs on Titania are missing entirely, then again a bunch of stinkers from when I was learning the fights with randoms ALSO aren't there.

She may be inflating her competency, but I'm apparently a better BLM than 90% of all players on Innocence, and I'm sure there's a PS4 player out there who orange parses everything consistently.

I hesitate to hear anyone say "you can't perform at top level in X because you lack Y hardware" when I've witnessed Dogura lose in Guilty Gear to a man playing on a racing wheel and a paralyzed man playing on a controller with his mouth be one of the world's best Chun Li's.

PC offers better graphical quality, faster load times, and the ability to use your own plug-ins instead of relying on raid-callouts and friends with PC's. These are advantages, but they're not deal makers or breakers for a lot of people, and shouldn't be so for those considering raiding with PS4 players.

I don't care if anyone plays on PS4 or PC.

Considering I played this game for years on a toaster that performed worse than a ps3, I'd say it doesn't really matter if you play on PS4 or PC, as long as you have enough frames that it doesn't hinder your performance.

I realized, but I also felt that showing some form of "proof" that one can perform competently on PS4 was warranted, and since your comment actually posted something from FFlogs it seemed the appropriate jumping off point.

I'm downloading the game for PC now, and I predict that my parses on PC and PS4 will be indistinguishable except for the fact that the PC ones will be my own.

(At least in six months when I'm back home with decent internet again, working abroad has downgraded my connection from sub-10 ms latency and 150+Mbps to 30-110 ms latency and 10 Mbps max; should have downloaded the game BEFORE I left lol, 1800 minutes download time).

I mean. I think it's common knowledge that both PS4 & PC players both all have top level players. I have no issues with either. My parses on the new EXs are green, so I'm not exactly a great player myself, and this is the first expansion I'm actually even getting into the EX/Savage content.

This is why i don't raid or do EX Trials. FFLogs, Parsers, 3rd Party apps, Serious Discord conversations, Statics... all for glamour pieces that don't even look sexy xD.

But anyways, tons of PS4 players perform well. Keyboard, controller, doesn't matter much. As a matter of fact, many console players already perform extremely well via their logs on a supposed elitist website, which gauges accurate information.

I would just like to say, to that person who did call it an elitist website, it does actually say a lot about how you view the game, or potentially how good you are. Not that theres anything wrong with being a casual, but FFlogs isn't an elitist website. It's just a website that gives accurate info for a fight, how well a person did in said fight. This can lead to self improvement because it can help you map out your cooldowns as a tank, find where dps phases end or start, when aoes screenshot that dont have cast bars (Innocents, as an example, immediately snapshots when the final mob dies in Extreme. You wouldn't know this very easily without playtesting or seeing when the snapshot completes via FFlogs.)

Now, that being said, much like how Act can be used in a bad way, FFlogs can also be used in a bad way. But just because things can be used in a bad way doesn't = bad. Otherwise everything would be bad.

But hey, thats just my final 2 cents.

That's some bias. And you having the mindset towards that add on and what it entails for the improvement of the community and/or game, as well as allowing theory crafters to do what they do, but better (which would still allow elitists to thrive REGARDLESS by the way)

They are just made up "blah blah" a bag of hot air so some bean counters can earn money and sleep at night because they feel needed.
