Edit: as if they are rubbing salt in the wound I just got an email about shadowbringers saying to get it now.

Yep. I need the key to unlock Stormblood and buy the tales of adventure to skip it. Mogstation doesnt allow it until I unlock it first.

It's not all about the fluff and it's not rage it's disappointment too many people have been burned in the past for a case of "just wait". When you purchase that product you expect it on time and how it was described, and usually people don't get up in arms if they are informed of any unseen delays stop being so damned negative and look at the logical solutions.

I was able to buy the MSQ skip and level boost to 70 and apply them to my character with only the SB early access key, i've been playing since 29th. I only have ARR + SB early access. I haven't gotten the key for SB yet.

Nope, still have not gotten mine. Been checking nearly every hour.

Still haven't gotten mine yet either, EU store. It's 9 pm on the 2th July here now.

I'm mainly peeved by this because people who just bought it / got it from other stores already have their keys. You'd think the official store would be the fastest, but alas.

I can't access the content yet either with my physical copy, despite registering the game to square-enix-games.com like the box told me to.
I still have no idea how to even get the mog station code. The SE store has nothing for me.

Yeah, I'm getting this. You'd think the people that bought it from their actual store would get keys first. I'm getting my key is being processed message.

This feels just like when I was in school and always towards the end of the line due to alphabetical order.

My EU code just went trough.


I also have been kicked from the game with a 90002 error and then immediately have been locked out and had to change the password (maybe a hiccup from the whole guest account thing? As in: "Hey, your code is ready but you are just a guest on the store, so in order to prevent some random dude getting it, we lock you out on purpose and contact you via eMail that only you should have access to" or something).



I was curious, checked it again and voila, the "Generate Key" button appeared and done.

Yeah, that happened here too. Now I'm at 600 for login :(

Update:
I have gotten my code now from Square Enix Store and I've registred it.
So the keys are on the way.
I also asumed they would arive alot earlier, it's almost 9:30pm now where I live.

Been checking since last nite.. I have the "In process" notification but thats it.

"Your key is being processed and it will be available here soon or when the product is released."

....but it released today....

There's also the valid point regarding the fact that some, many of whom have probably paid for the expansion months in advance yet are being forced to wait. Amazon doesn't charge you until the day they give out the codes, yet they got theirs out first, same with all other companies who take pre orders except SE store.

For the SE store, they take your money in full, I paid 3/1/2019 that money is gone. Now I wouldn't say im "foaming at the mouth" but it is bothersome that they would treat people who've already paid like this. To be fair this isn't them intentionally being mean, just painfully incompetent.

Honestly if I had money just laying around I'd cancel my order and buy on amazon right now, they can't exactly void my pre order code which has already been used, but I'm not so rich so I'll just have to wait.

I got an email saying; Out Now! continue your journey with FF14 newest expansion, I was happy and then ... yeah figured as much: Your key is being processed and it will be available here soon or when the product is released. Nice way to get my hopes up for nothing

Just got my code, EU store. It's almost 10 pm here now.

More and more people in my company are getting their keys now so hopefully those who have not received one will get theirs soon.

Finally got it.

I am still waiting on my code to register and it is nearly 1pm here. I have to go to work soon and was hoping to get this taken care of before I did. I guess that was hoping for to much. And from what I am seeing in this thread it looking like I will have to wait till I get home at 10pm and maybe just maybe my key will be there.

Looking behind at all my earlier expansion boxes, they had the 20-digit code in them. This current box I bought didn't. I may have received a defective product.

Honestly, I don't find that a valid reason. As like I've said, it doesn't change the way you play your game. Unless you wanna unlock SB like others mentioned could be a possibility.
I've pre-ordered aswell and been waiting till 9:30pm before the code arrived.
But before that I knew that even with the code my gameplay won't change and I can just happily play while waiting, and/or do other stuff aswell.
I don't see the logic in "they got it before me and that's unfair".
That also bring me back to what I said at first, that perhaps people are upset they couldn't be amongst the first to flash the collector items and have their moment in the spotlight.

Finally got my CE Key for EU Server. There was no Email, went to check again my order on SE Store.
I directly received my CE key. Not a key to activate another key, like it was with early access.

No one said anything about fairness. Tell you what, next time you buy a car how about they make you stand in line for a day after you've paid.

It's the principle of the thing. As a business owner, I wouldn't expect to stay in business very long if I took customers money and then failed to deliver on the goods an unreasonably long period of time.

Clearly everyone will get their key that they paid for, that doesn't make this right. It's gross incompetence. Nothing more, nothing less. And people have a right to complain about it.

Was just coming to post the exact same thing. What a joke.

so seems waiting till around 9pm-10pm is where it is at for non steam PC players at this point based on when EU players are getting their keys. So here is hoping when I get home tonight my key is waiting for me.

I ordered two copies but the store page only has one activation key, despite having two preorder keys.

I tried to activate both accounts with the key but needless to say the second account got an error.

Any chance the second key is simply late or am I screwed?

Edit: Went to the grocery store and made some food, checked my Square Enix store account and now the pending key was available so I was able to register. I never got an email so I would check your SE store account rather than rely on waiting for email.
