Yea. As sad at it is to hope more ppl report the issue. The more I hope they do to wake SE up.

They do need to rethink their server strategy...
There has been no word fro Square-Enix about this at all. At this point, more people reporting it probably won't make a difference.
My laptop next to me has no issues but on my desktop it does. (wired connection to modem). Laptop running wifi with VPN.
what pisses me off is that they are aware of this as i spoke with support earlier but if you check on the lodestone there is NOTHING regarding problems on NA servers is all cool and dandy
Still broke...24 hours later.
FIX IT SE.
I lost two days of playtime before heading to a trip because of this. Frustrating.
Can't seem to play for the last few hours teleported to Quarrymill in the South Shroud to do my bard questline and i failed to load in for a good 2 minutes then the game crashes. Log back in and i'm disconnecting from the moment i log in so i can't even teleport elsewhere. Something needs to be done about these issues they keep happening to people the random 90002 error's are also bad both when in an instance and when doing things elsewhere. Central European/Austrian there: I'm fine (so far, on laptop), but my boyfriend on PS4 gets 90k boots when running Omega. Were using the same connection, he tried WIFI, cable and the end even switching to a connection via mobile tethering. He keeps being 90ked as soon as he is participating in Omega.
The only thing that actually works is if he's tethering via his mobile using an US based VPN provider.
And it only started with yesterday's patch, so far everything was fine, now it's a real nuisance.
Ok so this is actually ridiculous. I am sorry to say this but it seems like SE are trying to push people out of some servers on purpose. I literally cannot do any dungeons. Just tried to do Omega 4.0V and every 2 minutes i get DCed and of course i get kicked from a party. And i dont blame the people that did it. Would of done the same thing myself. This post is at the top of Technical issues thread and we havent gotten a single reply from SE representatives or community managers. We are left in the dark about everything.
Posted in a few other threads but as this bullshit is still going on, I figured I would try here as well. My husband and I are in SA (Brazil) and play on an NA server (Lamia, Primal data center.) We have the same IP, our computers sit no more than five feet from each other, but for some reason I can connect fine while he gets 90K'ed every 30-45 seconds. I had a few issues on the 3rd, but today and yesterday my connection has been perfect while his has gone to hell.
Can someone at SE get off their ass and please at least acknowledge that there is a problem here?!
Sarg player, from Brazil.
Stuck at Omega's solo instance duty since yesterday. Getting dc after going up in the first elevator, any time of the day.
I just reset my internet just in case, and Im happy to say that my problems are gone! My main is back in the game! I hope everyone else gets sorted soon!
I actually thought it was fixed today, I was able to log into the game from about 10am till now, 9:30PM. (PS4)
It's strange but like yesterday it happened when I was located in the South Shroud. (Or walked by it.)
Server: Sargatanas (NA Legacy)
No idea if this has got a connection. The place is very crowded as well, and yesterday it was as well when I faced the disconnecting issues. Now I begin to wonder if it's simply having trouble connecting us Europeans to the NA server when it's in crowded places?
Someone PM-ed me as well, as I was in the progress of disconnecting. Gave me a tip to put up with a VPN like Pingzapper (After installed restart PC) Since it fixed the problem for said person.
Yet, I'm on PS4 and cannot test this. But I trust his tip and am therefore hoping it will work for others. (If this hasn't been suggested here yet in the last few replies. If so, I apologize!)
I'm having the same issues as everyone else.
I'm on the Leviathan server and I'm located within the US, on Ps4.
My game was fine yesterday morning and afternoon while running a dungeon with each of us getting a dc symbol next to our names before the first boss. Healer actually got dced for two minutes and we waited for her to get back on before proceeding. Nothing else happened after that incident. However, when I came back from a friends house and got back on the game, I'm unable to continue my quests. I started to have issues again when I tried to do a big boss fate in the Azim Steppes a few hours ago and dced halfway through (lost my ranking thanks to it). Tried to relog and my character was standing there with everything frozen and they I would get dced. This continued to happen even after the fate ended. I managed to get back to Reunion and now game freezes as soon as I log in and I cant do anything for a few seconds before being dced.
Click on a person with a quest - dced, try to mount - dced, try and move an inch - dced. Even opening my inventory I get dced.
It's rather frustrating and I'm really considering cancelling my sub because what's the use of paying for a game that is impossible to play normally?
My problem isn't quite as severe as most of the people on here. I can log on, and apart from a short period of being stuck in east shroud and a couple of weird random dc's, I can mostly do open world stuff like hunts and crafting. (my crafters are levelling quicker now!).
Instances and dungeons are just awful though. i still can't unlock Omega, and just now trying to go into Bardams with my wife (who seems to be running fine on her pc) and an fc friend, and got dc'd on twice on the first pull, then gave up. Last night I got kicked 5 times during one copperbell mines.
I'm playing on ps4, so I ddon;t think theres too much I can do with programmes and stuff, and the fact that we have been completely ignored is really unacceptable. Its clearly not a minor thing, this topic alone now has hundreds of replies, and theres lots of other topics on here. We really need some kind of official reassurance that this is being looked into.
I myself am having this same issue. I am able to log in and see all kinds of activity when i am but i am unable to make any actions, teleport, zone, chat with anyone or even log out through the game menu. I am currently on the PS4 and the only thing i can do is turn off the game via the PS4 menu. The only issue i see different than most of the other people so far is that i have multiple characters on different servers and i can log onto them and play easily and with no bugs. Only with Balmung server and i just now having this issue. Been using this server for 3+ years now including a rather lengthly weekend burning through midnight oil clearing MSQ only to have my progress halted early this morning. I am currently stationed overseas in Germany but started my game progress in the states. So still connected to NA world but this is the first time i have had any problems with SE and FFXIV. On the phone with Tech Support, on hold for an hour and then talking with an individual for about 20 minutes only to be told to make a comment on the forums and to contact a GM through another character and tell them whats going on. I do not believe i have the same IP address issues as you all have but im still having the exact same in-game issues as everyone. Hopefully this gets cleared up soon.

Yup, using a proxy/VPN with a US exit node works fine. Adds to the latency, though.
These new servers are trash in the US, I have never disconnected in this game so many times in a span over a few days. My internet connection is pretty solid and it has almost never been the cause of my Disconnections. I recently just ran a dungeon, 90k'd during a boss, came back dead, NO EXP For the boss that was killed. These servers are a freaking joke and I'm being punished for things that are not within my own control.
Square Enix, STOP IGNORING THE US SIDE OF THINGS AND FIX YOUR SERVERS.
Getting huge amounts of lag in anywhere that isn't the major cities, tried doing some PotD and I get disconnects every 10-15 seconds making the game utterly unplayable. I'm in the UK and playing on Odin (EU).
Stormblood has been a total shitshow from launch to present with almost daily issues. Someone at SE needs to acknowledge server capacity is a huge problem right now and either fix it, or tell us they won't be fixing it so we can all go give our money to some other game that gives us what we pay for.
If SQEX even at least ACKNOWLEDGED us and our problems it would do a lot to calm the anger currently being experienced by their PAYING customers.
Here in Peru still with the problem.Filled a bug report and no support yet. Is there any official response??
Probably a little from column A and a little from column B. My actual connection to the game is usually pretty decent. Very little packetloss overall (less than 0.01% loss most of the time) and latency is fine most of the time. What I'm seeing mostly are requests for information from the server just being ignored or refused which causes the client to throw because it doesn't know what to do about that (psst... send the request again). So the servers are clearly overwhelmed. Now add to that people connecting from Europe or some other distant location and it becomes ridiculous very quickly.
day 3 and same issues seriously there is no end to the worst
I posted my issue in this thread on page 12, were I said that I was fine before patch 4.01 and then constant disconnects during battle after that patch. I could however go AFK and remain connected without issue.
Anyway, during the long period I went AFK because I got tired of getting the boot, I remembered the Stormblood System Requirements detailing something about connection ports which I thought was weird, since you don't usually see specific ports in any system requirements.
So I looked up the SB system requirements again and saw this text and these numbers:
I went into my router settings and found a "Services" tab that allowed me to input these details above. The "80" and "443" can be ignored(at least for me) but as you can see below, I input the other longer port numbers and created these.Quote:
If you are using a router, please set up your ports so that the below packets can pass through.
[Ports that may be used]
TCP:80, 443, 54992~54994, 55006~55007, 55021~55040

Now this might be a coincidence, since I was AFK for several hours before coming back and trying this out. But after inputting the above info and rebooting my router. I started up FFXIV again and played for a few hours. I was able to do quests, FATEs and battle in general without issue.
I refrained from posting about this yesterday because I wasn't sure this was a possible solution. So I decided to wait to see what the next day would be like. And again this might just be some coincidence, but today I have had no issues whatsoever, so of course I decided to post here out of curiosity to see if this helps anyone else.
wow.. just wow... since Stormblood patch the game their servers gets downhill! Are they trying to remake the catastrophe 1.0 was? O.o Had bunch of random 90k's today TO! And everytime I log back it says "The world is currently HEAVILY loaded with people: people in wait: 4!" ... What are they doing?
Weirdly enough, today seems completely fine for me, without trying any of the fixes posted by people here. Hope I'm not jinxing it by saying it's fine. Good luck to everyone else who's still getting disconnected!
Experiencing the exact same issue, the game is completely unplayable, which is a shame cause all of my fc members can play.
Oh well, back to monster hunter.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Temp-Solution
try those solutions if on ps4 i tried those myself and could do 5 6 dungeons without a single dc
Still can't do anything ingame without getting immediately d/ced with a 90002 error. As a test, even though I never needed one before, I tried out a VPN service with a tunnel to Los Angeles and I was immediately able to play normally.
This to me just reinforces the fact that it feels like SE is actively refusing or blocking some types of connections from non-NA origins. Letting you through enough to make an initial connection and log in, but blocking you as soon as you start doing something that requires more connectivity/traffic and triggering some kind of policy to block/drop your connection.
Got on this morning and had constant disconnection issues for about an hour. Then played for a while - just started again, at most I manage to kill one mob (farming skins for leather) before I disconnect again. Seriously starting to wonder why I pay SE money if they can't keep the servers stable no matter from where I log in.
Adding my name to this connecting to an NA realm from EU and can't stay connected for more than a minute. Game is literally unplayable at the moment.
I think i found a fix for the problem on PC. I followed the fix for PS4 players and changed my DNS Server settings for 8.8.8.8 Preferencial and 8.8.4.4 as alternative. Was able to log in normally and make a panic run out of Quarrymill, but i wasnt able to make further testing due to time constraints.
np but thanks to Jozu for sharing the internet connection setup
update:
I caved and used a VPN after a friend offered to let me use his account. Did one dungeon on it (Snowcloak again), and I can say it works. Another friend used the same VPN account (up to 5 instances can be used at any one time) and managed to finally get through the Omega solo instance.
While it's only a temp fix, I highly suggest PC players use a VPN for the time being until things improve.
