If they are going to make the Judge type of gear for the new raid, I do hope they make it so every role get this type of gear and not some weird cloth looking garbage for the casters and healers.

Oh, the latest information says this LLP will be in Japanese only.

Normally one of the community team does a running unofficial translation (here's an example from one of the last ones http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/337124-Letter-from-the-Producer-LIVE-Part-XXXVII-Q-A-Update-Thread) and several people do some web-streams and the like where they try to do live translations.

There's a FF14 Reddit Discord group, supposedly - and typically there's live translations in one of the channels within it whenever there's a Live Letter that needs to be translated. I'm afraid I don't have the link myself, though.

I could see the folder for this event has been setup. The thread might come in later. Thanks for the info.

I think it's safe to assume the gear sets we'll get might be based around the Jobs in Final Fantasy Tactics.

I'd hazard that that is Keita Amemiya's redesign of Exodus taking elements from both the FFXII design and the FFTA design.

Concept art is ace! Just a bit disappointed that only shown 2 pictures rather than the raid :/

We are going to start in Rabanastre O: That means this Ivalice is one with viera? Maybe We will get to see some viera styled archer npcs. I would like to have FFXII styled gear. Something like Balthier's, Gabranth's, and Vossler's outfits would be cool.

Its very likely that its a mix of everything Ivalice but since Ramza and Delita are the posterboys it seems its more FFT classic oriented.

I only wish I had played Tactices more to know the story of Ramza and Delita. Could not get past the grid combat.
I will like it all the same if its mixed of many iterations of Ivalice.

Yoshida did say to play Final Fantasy Tactics in earlier interviews so its very likely you're right about it being more based on Tactics.

Damn, this probably means no Viera, was hoping to see them in the game.

Tactic played deep in the future of Ivalice, where all races except the humes died out.
Maybe Rabanastre is a ruin, got another name or is in another part of the world

Think they hinted to Dalmasca being north of othard (or a part of northern othard?) and Rabanastre happens to be/have been there =D

I think that this being based on the first tactics is a lot better. The other Tactics are too connected to Final Fantasy XII, and should stay that way. Tactics Advance, and A2 are practically spin offs starring two of the teleporting moogles in Rabanastre hehe.

Personally I am hoping it is "all" tactics and heavily Delita based, but some were suggesting it might go tactitcs for one then advanced for the next then 12 for last or something like that XD

I think it's safe to assume the entire raid will be based around FFT. It'd be jarring if the story jumped all over the place.

I'll be updating the first post with whatever we find. I just put the art work so far and it seems the city is from FFXII

Makes perfect sense

Yoshida and Matsuno were saying that the ivalice isn't tactics only and it's about all his ivalice games. People really need to calm down and understand that it isn't one or the other, it's all of them. That's what makes ivalice special, that it's a series of games, not just ff tactics.

If ivalice was only ff tactics it wouldn't be special.

Anyway! I'm so stoked that Ramza is going to be in return to ivalice. I really thought they were going to do the FFXII characters for this route.

I remember reading about this in a reply in some thread but I can't locate it right now, so I don't have a bubble quote to show.

The thing is all of the previous patch title artworks featured characters that were involved in the main story line or MSQ. This is like the first time characters from the alliance raid story were featured in the patch title artwork.

So either this is an exception or Our returning legendary characters Ramza and Delita are somehow involved in the main story line.... maybe or maybe not but it would be cool if they do. :)

i'm excited for Ivalice too, but some people here and elsewhere might need to temper their nostalgia :)
Rabanastre / Dalmasca exist in Hydaelyn lore already, in the same way that Doma and the Crystal Tower do. Ramza, Delita are probably also going to be Othardian expies like Kaien, Krile etc rather than the 'real deals'.
