I saw this a few months ago for a Dun Scaith run and it made my static laugh pretty hard.
"Congratulations, <player name>! You just got resuREKTed!"
I use just a basic "raising" <t> with a sound effect but was wondering is there a way of not displaying say <se.5> as example?
For my Red Mage it's "Verdon't do that, <t>"
Used by a FC friend:
“Current Tide Pod Challenge Champion: <t>”
currently updating mine but here's 2 that I have previously used:
<t> I got it from my daddy.
and
<t>....and bootyflakes!! (inside joke within my FC)
I remember dying once and the healers resurrection macro was "(character name), if you get up I'll show you my boobs".
my old ones were:
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down <t>!
and
Moon Crystal Power, WAKE UP <t>!
but I have bad latency nowadays so I just shortened it to: {skill} <t> FIGHT!
and for my RDM/SMN I think: {skill} <t> #NotToday (I seldom use it thankfully)
Mine’s the simplest you can get. “I’ve got you <t>!”
I don't even use one because it never goes off for me right and I've found it's better to just watch the party list to see if other people are already casting a res.
/p Death is only the beginning, <t>
/ac "Resurrection"
(reference from The Mummy)
/micon "verraise"
/ac "verraise" <t>
/p "<t>, please stop having an intimate relationship with the ground."
I have another rez macro that i like more, but that's one i share with people who have died enough to use it.
<target> You make my heart go doki doki!
I have two, and switch them around if I use them too much, or when I get bored of one.
"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, currently scraping <t> from the earth's crust"
And
"<t> get off the floor! Everybody walk the dinosaur!"
People would comment on my second one a lot in the diadem, where there are lots of dinosaurs XD
I kinda like mine it goes,
"Don't worry <t>, time heals all wounds"
Those who understand a little Japanese might get the subtle joke.
Toki in Japanese means time, so I'm saying I heal all wounds
I want this thread to live, I've read amazing macros...
Since its been much more than 10 years that I play as a healer, I'm a helly kamidere.
Annd here is my macro : " Please <t>, stop feeding my god complex. <se.3> "
This game needs reraise, so I can go back to using "Death is only the beginning."
/micon "resurrection"
/ac "ressurection" <t>
/p "I'm not your momma <t> but I'll raise you!" <se.10>
Can't claim credit for the idea but I saw something similar in a roulette awhile back and wanted something like it. xD The sound effect helps prevent double raising but in parties where there are multiple wipes to bad play I have a second, non-macro'd resurrection that won't make the sound. Once per duty is fine but when I have to raise a lot of people it gets too annoying even for me.
Before the death of Miasma II
/p Raising <t>! This is MP I could have used for more Miasma II's...
RIP Miasma II
I really despise these "funny" and unnecessary macros. Just say "raising" if you need to add a macro there, I don't need that unnecessary text that's funny to 13-year olds. At least it isn't some "hello kupo" macro with 30 line ASCII art of a fucked up moogle, that shit should be bannable.
for my SCH I have a flex tape meme
/p To show you the power of Flex Tape™ I sawed this <t> IN HALF!!
/p I will now fix <t> only using Flex Tape™
For when I played AST it was
/p I activate Monster Reborn, allowing me to summon <t> back from the graveyard!
You are searching for coins on the floor? Get up "t"!
The only Ress Macro usefull is "Raise/Resurrection/Ascend <t>", this way people can check who you ressing to not cast another ress at same person ( when more than 1 is dead ). A "funny" macro is useless, especially in End-Game content where people don't have time to keep reading a book written on Chat Box while is fighting and dealing with mechanics. Not to mention the polluted screen which cover some usefull information or party communication. A small phrase, like 1 line is acceptable, but i've already seen literally a text for Ressing that i had to maximize my Chat Box to read everything, it was like a song chorus.
I used to have one that was like '<player> has just died, press f to pay respects' when the meme was still relevant and seeing everyone press f in the chat every time (even the person who died sometimes) was so funny and endearing lmaoooo
I saw this one in Eden last night and it made me laugh.
"Oh good we needed more extras for Thriller."
I once saw a very awesome raise macro. It was very pleasing to the eyes. Somehow, the person managed to make a macro which raises a party member and prints a zero-length string. However, not only are no characters printed to the chat with this macro, but the chat scroll isn't affected either. It is almost as if the person is casting the ability without a macro.
Truly amazing.
Sometimes you gotta do stuff that makes you smile even if it annoys a random person you likely will never queue with again. Different strokes for different folks.

Reading some of these responses is just like

You are so into raising that you raised the topic. Good job.
Normally I go for the bland and boring:
/ac "Swiftcast"
/wait 2
/ac "Raise" <t>
/ac "Raise" <mo>
/p "Raising <t>"
/micon "Raise"
Only time I really used something different was when I was leveling AST, when used:
/p "You activated trap card! Powerful Rebirth! I use its effect to bring <t> back to life!"
But I got bored and took off that raise macro. And yes, this trap card does exist.
<t>, you are not my child, but I shall <raise> you
/p SENZU BEAN! (throws Senzu Bean at <t>)
Oh Jesus, 90% of those are just CRINGE, neither witty nor funny.. But looking at the dates of the thread, I used to have a cringe macro myself 4 Years ago:
<t> stop being dead and be awesome instead!
I never liked making fun of others and prefered to be encouraging but still... super cringe.
Nowadays I use the simple auto translate macro but I'm liking 'GAME OVER. Press accept to continue' it's simple and still kinda fun
The funniest one in my social LS belongs to Chaton Grincheoux, and it goes like this:
"Here's 2000 MP. Go see a Star War, <t>."
A couple years ago there was a healer in my alliance raid party that had an annoyingly long raise macro. Started kinda like '<t> is not actually dead. Only slightly dead. The difference between being slightly dead and actually dead is' Then it went on for about 4 more lines. It was like punishment for our whole party if any of us died.
This didn’t happen in XIV, rather in XI—a throwback to where these macros started. I ate it while soloing near the crag crystal in Tahrongi canyon and an Elvaan (Elezen for the younger folks) WHM found me and started to cast Raise, it said:
“Rise <t> and become one of my undead army!”
I had a good chuckle.
Here's mine
/macroicon "Raise"
/ac "Raise"
/p Raising <t>
/wait 9
/cheer
/wait 2
/p <me> is at <mp> MPs.
/wait 2
/p <me>, still cheaper than a defibrillator!
My favorite i seen was
“Necromancy is just really late healing”
For my AST
/p Er... let's rewind and try that again, shall we <t>?
"You owe me 2400 MP,punchbag"
