List of Suggestions to improve the game. Triple triad or Tetra Master Do you like it?

Triple... Triple.. Triple... TRIPLE TRIAD HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

TRIPLE TRIAD. Seriously, get rid of this Parley BS and give us Triple Triad already! It would add SO much to this game if you could challenge NPCs and other players, win cards, get them as drops off mobs, etc.

Triple Triad! Or something like Vanguard's Parley. I was very disappointed with FFXIV's Parley.

heh, farming monster cards... that sounds fun, actually.

Would have been good to have Triple Triad while waiting 6 weeks for 1.18 ^^

Quick reminder to everyone posting to like the first post in this thread as well, I want card minigames in ffxiv too, it'd be nice for a response on this, though they need to know its popular first! :)

I'll post as many times as I have to, community reps please forward this thread to the dev team! A game like Triple Triad would be enough to keep me interested in FFXIV for quite a long time. It would add a layer of depth being able to walk around cities and challenge people to a card game. And yeah if you can't tell I loved FFVIII.

I've been all over the in-game Triple Triad idea since I first realized the possibility before alpha began. Was praying for it to be in at release, but clearly that's not the case. I would really love for this to be added in as some kind of collectible mini game to do on the side with friends. :)

As long as they make it look nice. No PS1 graphics pl0x.

As long as it has absolutely no effect on gameplay performance (no uber gear earned, etc), I'll endorse it.

I really hope they implement a card game. I enjoyed both Triple Triad and Tetra Master. I got excited about Tetra Master in XI, but then disappointed when discovering that it wasn't in-game.

Please bring Triple Triad, Tetra Master or a newly named hybrid to Eorzea!

I vote for the IX card game and FIGHTING ON CHOCOBOS!!!! Hell yeah. Honestly I don't expect SE to make something so ground breaking and interesting at this point.

I really would like to see a better story too but we're likely to get random quest chains at best.

How about a card game...ON CHOCOBOS!!

pvp gambling (being able to put up items or gil) if they add any mini-games players can do, also would be cool if you could put loot items into the battle directly.

Adding triple Triad would bring me back to this game full time instead of the now and then I am doing now... I might even be willing to pay a monthly fee at that point. If monsters had a chance to drop their own card and you had NPC’s to battle it would actually provide a reason to go out and farm, it would give you something to look to while grinding away levels and it like mentioned above it gives people another way to interact.

I say bring in the Triple Triad and watch the game pickup again, at the least it would be a great diversion while they fix the rest of the game, allow us to do something meaning full for what would probably be a limited amount of effort to implement, then they can take more time to get the rest of the game right.

I would love to see some card PvP + PvE. :-) To collect rare cards from players was always my dream.

+ Cards could be use at Card NPC vendor for some things like they were in FF8 >> Convert x cards to craft material, etc. :))

I think if you were able to kill an HNM you should at least have a 5% drop rate of their card. If it was a game breaker card, yes, lower, but since Triple Triad is mainly going to just be a supplementary addition to the game for fun, then 5% drop rate is a reasonable rate, I think.

Sorry guys, but I have to give a -1 to Triple Triad, but +1 to a more balanced card game.

Triple Triad was all about getting the BEST card after which you become absolutely unbeatable. No one would want to challenge anyone else because you have no idea what cards the other players have, and the person with the best cards almost always wins.

Tetra Master would be a better option because weaker players can actually stand a bit of chance in that game. Better yet, they need to come up with a game more similar to Magic or whatever card game that is most popular with the kids right now, where yes, there are rare and powerful cards, but with the right strategy a person with a weaker deck is still able to win.

This should be bumped until we get a dev response in the thread :)

Two airships pull up side by side and both fleets run to the side of the deck and bust out their Parley boards and start playing. The team with the most wins will win the event and gain some stupid prize, hahaha. Airship Parley PvP battles, *gag*.

Actually Proxx they could make players obtain a rank, hell if they wanted too they could give them their own class and you level up as you win and get better cards. Sounds kind of silly but it would work, that way you could check someones TT Level before you play them, also they would have rules where you could play for keeps for gil, for other items etc. Overall I think it would make an awesome system if they actually was willing to do it and work with it.

I think this would really add a lot to the game itself, I liked the idea about having a flag that shows you are for taking on all challengers. I think it would be excellent to add "game tables" into the adventure guilds, that players can gather around to play (you can play out in the fields as well) also, there could be tournaments in game every so often with fun prices for those who join the tournament.

Basically it says that he talked to YoshiP about it, but the dev team is so overwhelmingly busy with other stuff that they can't implement any mini games at the moment. He thinks it's a very interesting idea, however, and wants more people to post their ideas.
