Make Lightning hairstyle available for everyone

Screw the hair. I just want the damn outfit. >_>

The problem is not the nature of the question and not even really that much the attitude. The problem is the fact that this event had happened once, and was then repeated two times already.

On one hand, everyone and their cousins since then have been running around with FFXIII hairstyles and wearing FFXIII outfits. More than enough.

On the other, it's beating a dead horse: while no one official person has said anything (so far) about it, it can almost be taken for granted that these will make it to the cash shop sooner or later.

And if they won't (personally, I don't think they should) - some things are just exclusive. Whether because of the mechanics of acquiring it, or because of the temporary availability, but they are. People need to get over it and move on and accept that they can't always get everything they want. End of story.

It's not personal, it's simply the fact that this had been brought up and discussed so many times on so many pages, most everyone's just sick and tired of seeing it pop up again and again and again and again and again.

While we are just asking for stuff on a whim, can I have Rydia's outfit? I love it...

I want Class Zero uniform.

Alright, that's fair point. Again, personally, I have no horse in this race. Whether they bring it back or not doesn't bother me. It's just that, in my mind, bringing back the event in some fashion or just throwing the items in the cash shop would sorta solve this whole issue of people constantly asking for it to return. It seems like a pretty harmless request, but I guess I get the opposing view.

Technically it still is exclusive, it's the stick's-so-far-up-they-eat-with-it Legacy that made a stink about the other one. I, personally, welcomed it because it meant I could finally leave my old server soon. Been enjoying life on Midgardsormr since.

They are putting some new hairstyles in the new patch. But they refuse to make Lightnings Hairstyle available for all players. Even if players are asking for it over years. They are ignoring those players constantly. They begged players to stay and help to make FFXIV ARR a success when they realized that they messed up the first version. And now they are successful, so why listen to players now?

News hairstyles are ugly !
Seriously, Yoshida didn't know how to make nice hairstyle...

Only Lightning hairstyle is nice, all other are ugly.

Because special events come with special items that may end up being exclusive.


I really wonder if this is the first MMO for a lot of people.

They listen to the players who want that hairstyle as a 100% event reward, and not something you buy in a cash shop. They can add Hopes hairstyle into the cash shop.

Well if you're one of those players who can't accept that they're not entitled to have absolutely everything, because some things are exclusive and have been available for a limited time only, then... don't let the door hit you on the way out. /shrug

Seriously you don't choose to play a game with plenty of hairstyles because there's one you want, the same goes if you can't have that particular one.

General tip: when you see a little crown in the thread icon it means someone from the staff have said something on the matter, in this case they answered the whole thing:

Except that was posted in May last year, and the event was held a third time in September last year despite Camate's post. Just because they 'currently' don't have plans on something doesn't mean it'll never happen. Aren't necro threads fun? The OP for this thread even has the lightning hair in her portrait since they held it a third time. >_>

I have absolutely no doubts that SE is going to add it into the cash shop, especially after announcing the Scions' armour sets and Minfilia's hair.

I thought the third time the event was held was before that one Camate post! My bad then.

Still I'd prefer they put it somewhere like in the new MGP hairstyles shop cause in two years having the supposed-to-be-limited event a fourth time doesn't sound right.. <.<

Ummm..... your forum avatar (which if yours is like mine updates looks with your character) already has Lightning's hair, so your in-game char already has Lightning's hair. What gives?

Yeah the original post was like 2 or so years ago lol they got the chance to get the hair piece.

There's still a chance for the event to show up again. Lightning Returns is slated to be released on PC later this year or early next year. It would be one last good opportunity to hold the event while also giving some publicity for the PC release.

Besides even if they did the event 10 more times there would still be people wanting it back cus they missed it.
