This is why quest markers make the game for 2 year olds

thats a bad example, cuz those were specific Cut Scenes you had to go to

if you went AROUND the long way to the choco stables, you WOULD NOT get the end cut scene, you had to do them IN ORDER to get there

thats not a path, those are cut scene markers

There's no cutscenes o_O

they are quest markers, if you go around you still dont get the end cut scene you MUST go to those spots in order

yeah, i had a MAJOR wtf moment when i went where it told me in the description back near launch for that quest

then i backtracked and hit the "cut scene" or marker(which gives you a small message) and then as i went back to the stable from there each marker causes a new message to show til i got to the stables


basicaly, its one of the few examples where it may look like a path but it actualy isnt

I hope you know the system is not individually designed for each individual quest. Some code will be used to generate those markers and yes it might seem stupid on something so close, when something starts in limsa and says go to coerthas its very handy.

I'm fine with the quest markers as is, they are useful for quickly reminding yourself where to go. I start quests and a lot of times don't finish them in one sitting (LS starts leves, log out to go to sleep etc.) Its easy to just quickly check the map and see where I was heading before I stopped.
This does not really hurt anything at all, its just convenience.

Yea...I think the fact that people are already lazy is the reason they aren't doing something more productive with their time and playing a video game instead. I'm not too worried about quest markers because honestly some of those quests would take forever otherwise, such as the "confessions" quest, unless they reword the quest to tell you exactly who to talk to. I don't care any more honestly, I am actually enjoying the quests and I love running across them by accident and they're such a minute part of the game that it doesn't even matter.
