Devs Want Behest Feedback

You want feedback,i have the perfect feedback for you.I hate behest now,its a fight to be one of the first eight people to be able to join the behest.What kind of crap is that?!....

How bout make it so a party can form an alliance of 16 people so atleast more than eight players get to enjoy it so they don't sit there every 30 mins just to waste their time being beat out by others....

Its a time killer and pisses everyone off who doesn't get to join,why should just those eight people get to enjoy it? What the hell?.....

Please fix this,you want to make money or lose players? You know this will just make the impatient people quit,this was a horrible idea.....

How about no player limit an let whoever wants to join in and the behest will adjust for the number of players?

I don't know about other servers, but I play on the Besaid server and hardly ever get beat out by anyone. Hell there are rare times where there are actually eight people playing Behest when I'm on....And I go to Camp Horizon! You're right though that this needs addressed now for the future gamers.

Also can you make the level 30 area's Behest more experience rewarding? I barely get anymore SP from Horizon and I only get maybe 100 SP more a kill from Nanawa Mines? The enemies level range is so off as well. You can fight level 33 Deepground Puk, 35 Antling's, 39 Bog Yarzon's, and 44 Ill-Tempered Puk's and they all give you the SAME SP no matter the level! Please fix this as well.

Seriously. I went to Camp Horizon for Behest at 18 and got 600+ SP a kill up until 20.......I go to Nanawa Mines and get barely 300.......

At present it to me behests are not worth the SP post 20, neither are the rewards.

I would love to seem some type of phase/tier system brought into the behest setup... Giving it a little purpose, for example, have other objectives other then killing all the mobs as apart of the behest. Like protect a caravan or something. These objectives can be won or lost and if lost then certain rewards or options won't open up.

Also, there should be some optional hidden objectives that if completed open up new levels/chapter of the behest... And then the if that is the case, the behest could be used to tell a story...

Part 1, do these things, then the second part will open up, do those things...

All in the end, I agree that these can be treaded as mini-raids, and as such a big boss needs to be at the end of each chapter and then even at the end of the whole run of behests.

For example:
Phase 1: Boss - normal rewards
Phase 2: Harder Boss - better rewards
Phase 3: Big Boss - great rewards
Phase 4: Epic Boss - amazing rewards

While that's pretty cryptic in and of itself, the idea is that with each phase the mobs get harder, and the rewards get better, if the behest is failed, the phase on the next behest drops back to the previous phase...

So phase 3 would go to 2, and so on... Once the last phase is finished it would drop back to phase 1, or after a period of time would reset to phase 1, perhaps 3 hours or so...

Anyway, I just hope that they increase the quality of the boss fights in a behest. Hopefully with the new battle system and adjustments we will see some behests offer a challenge and a sought after reward.

Also, for Behest, the party should auto form... Having to manually create a party can be a chore, and while we are all used to it by now, it would be nice for Behest to create a public group, that joining the behest places you in that group. :)

Yup you are right I kind of forgot about Nophica and Nanawa ... seems you did too otherwise you would have corrected me on that aspect and not the one you did.

yes, i did also. otherwise i feel it is fine to limit the behests and all within a 3-5 level range of the leve range of that camp. the only reason i say 3-5 is alot of times people are in parties within the level range se wants which is 5 levels so you may be out of the leve camp range, but still within the range of the party you are in.

for example a level 35 that technically should be in a r40 camp may be in a party with a group with members that are level 30. i don't like the idea of forcing parties to split up every 30 minutes to force them into different camps for behest. we can't say the whole party should move because the rest of the party can't get leves at the higher camp yet. just an idea i wanted to throw out anyways.

Being newer to the game, Behest has been random in my experience. I've done some with all 8 people with monsters being easy and underleveled, then to do one with 3 people where each monster is entirely too high of a level. Granted the 3 people was a little more fun, but to take out an enemy group same level or a little higher, only to run to the next where they are 15 higher seems a bit random.

And agreed, bosses should feel like bosses. Normal monsters seem a bit of a let down after the hardwork put into it.

I think it would be a good idea to allow 16 people again, but split the people into 2 groups doing behest at the same time. A set of 15-20 mobs should spawn for each group independently. Whichever group kills all 15-20 mobs first gets to battle a nice mini-boss at the end that drops more interesting money/chest/loot/faction points as opposed to the normal 3k gil. This way you get more people interested in behest, but you prevent behest from being just another grinding device by turning it into a mini competition.

I know that nobody does behest at certain camps, though, so there should maybe be a minimum of 8 people present at camp for a behest to be split into two groups. Or you could spice up those behest by adding interesting rewards from the mini-bosses.

I have seen alot of people here wanna make everything easier and alot wanna make things harder

They could make 2 kinds of behest

1 version for people who want it easy keep it like it is now no exp loss easy fast exp without problem

One other version where you have harder fights you need use your abilities and if you die you lose exp but your reward little higher exp and longer battles

I hope they can make this game for both casual players and the hardcore without every adjust have to fail on one side

I miss the gameplay where you had to work in a group to get somewhere

And i hope SE will make things for both casual and hardcore players

I would say that is needed, a lot of people are complaining they can't get a party because people aren't moving from the camp and staying in parties ready to grab the next behest.

By forcing them to split up and move to new camps it would solve this issue a bit, also didn't yoshi-p say they are looking into an auto group systems for dungeons and behest ?

Would be cool if you could talk to the behest warden and instantly get assigned a group based on your level.
(because we would be getting 2 options at each camp thats 16 people per behest, SE could further add second behest instancing to this so there should never be an issue with too many people)

Restricting the levels IMO is a good thing as it will also make the behests more challenging, many times I have been in a behest with an odd high level players and they can almost 1 shot the mob making it a waste of time in terms of difficulty.

Summary:-
- 2 difficulty settings per camp based on players rank.
- Auto grouping players when signing up for behest based on player rank.
- Instancing players when they accept behest.
- Restricting high/low rank players from joining the wrong behest.
- Encourages players to move to new camps and explore.
- Makes players/parties who camping behest wardens less of an issue.
