Roleplayers! Welcome to Balmung!

I'm new to Final Fantasy XIV and new to MMORPGs. If anybody wants a tank on their side who is around level 17, feel free to add me. I'm a complete newb to this genre but am loving the experience so far (aside from the servers being worked on...).

Can't wait to see all the RP action, i had viewed one and it was so cool and interesting! i would love to join the action but sadly tooooo nervous and shy, hopefully i get the courage to do so!

I have never minded RPers to be honest.

As long as they don't try to make my dungeon run a novel, I'm alright with it.

I never knew Balmung was the unofficial rp server, even in 1.0. It must have been a really small community back then, because I don't remember seeing much RP in the old days. However I see it here and there now in towns. Always fun to stop and listen, brings an extra little life to the server.

I can only speak for myself and my group of friends, but we never bring RP into a dungeon unless it's a group full of RPers. It's pretty rude to hold up a DF that include people with different in game priorities. There's plenty of opportunity for RP elsewhere! :)

Ah, RP. I find myself missing that extra immersion as of late. All of the nostalgia in FFXIV:ARR has gotten me thinking back to the good times on the ol' Sylph server in FFXI, and it makes me wish I hadn't missed the boat on the pre-launch transfers. I see lots of new names, or at least names new to me, but it makes me wonder how many I might remember, and how many remember me.

When the chance presents itself, I hope to leave Adamantoise and find my way into a good RP community. :)

Even though i haven't seen any RP yet, i did see many people with normal names. Even more so then in other games with official RP servers (i just came from SWToR). I look forward to get to RP with people here and find my new home for a while on Balmung.
