Welcome to the Unofficial roleplaying server of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn.

We're the original server from v1.0 and we're still going strong and welcoming Roleplayers from accross the globe to take part in epic storylines planned by the players themselves!

Don't let that legacy brand put your off, we're all starting this new game together, and level is no obstacle. We have seasoned Crafters standing by to get back to what they love, and the items you need are right around the corner, weapons, food, armor. If it can be made, someone knows how!

I'll admit that when I chose Balmung, I didn't know it was the unofficial RP server. However from my time on it during the beta I certainly met a lot of nice people on the server and am glad to be playing on it.

Though, uh, it's been a few years since I've parked myself on a RP server in a MMO. The last one I tried was a number of years ago and the community was always on edge from the various, shall we say, abrasive people that kept flooding it.

I'll assume everyone here is a bit more relaxed from what I've seen though. Correct?

You'd be quite right~ as long as we're not hated on for enjoying what we love we're very reasonable people.

Plus a server can't operate on roleplayers alone, Balmung always had just the right mix of RP and Gameplay to make it enjoyable for everyone. I'd also say it had maybe the best community spirit i've felt since i stopped playing FFXI.

Was thinking about switching to a different server once i heard this was unnofficial RP server but idk, been kinda thinking trying a lil RPing would be fun haha. Still up in there air at the moment, got until Saturday morning to make my mind up.

Definitely looking forward to some Balmung RP once EA and Launch start up. =P Even outside of RP I really really love this community. Balmung must be one of the best gaming servers I've ever seen. ^^

If you decide to try it out, and you find an RPer hanging around, don't hesitate to ask questions! We love to be asked about the hobby and how to get into it! It is fun, and it doesn't have to be intimidating or weird.

Hells, when I first started, I had no idea what I was doing. Now I have a fantastic time, and it really helps to flesh out the world.
