On the topic though, I have no race for the job. But as a casual DRG dabbler, I definitely favor ShB/EW DRG. 7.0 DRG was on the borderline being 'okay' until... well... there goes the triple Nastrond. RIP.

TBH I miss EW DRG, I think that was my favorite iteration and I may imbe in the minority but I loved Dragon Sight. I really enjoyed the lore behind it and I thought it was such a cool concept even if a little janky. It was always fun in groups too, with people requesting it or just having fun with it in raid with my buddies and giving it to the healer for laughs. We'll since what 8.0 dragoon looks like but I'm not feeling it in DT currently.

i completely agree. including dragon sight

also, im a fan of positionals. they add to the feel of being busy. as it is now with a positional only every five globals it feels shallow and pointless. if they dont make positionals better they could just remove it entirely and replace it with something else.

Funny because after 7.1 I deleted my DRG set because ffs what gives anymore let's speak frankly cant wait for them to remove Elusive Jump to change it into idk a backward roll on the ground , guess gravity is more powerfull in Eorzea. Anyway I went back on MH world latetly and I find it funny that Insect glaive witht the DRG gear colab feel so much better and when you manage to fuck up a job in ff14 that bad where someone in a colab with you did better that just tell me how bad they are to design their game sometimes

BUT HEY took them like 4 years to buff DRK a little little bit so have faith maybe DRG will be fun in 2030 or in FF17 or ff18 who knows

Losing two presses of what was the same three buttons presses is a wild thing to cry about and then act like the devs have gutted a job. Do you want the devs to take your feedback seriously or would you rather over exaggerate to such a degree that they'd rather ignore you and focus on everything but that? Over exaggerating your issue doesn't get it looked at faster, it just makes you as a person look very unhinged.

It isn't just that it lost 2 extra charges of an ability. This is on top of multiple expansions of removing stuff from the job that it just feels like a skeleton of what it used to be. The double weaving during the entire burst phase was the last remnant of what it used to be and people are upset that they are taking away that last part of what it was, while not adding anything substantial to replace it. We used to have Blood of the Dragon, that got removed when Endwalker was released, we used to be able to decide when we entered our burst phase with the eye gauge, that got removed when Dawntrail released, and now we are losing ability uses during our burst window. The constant double weaving was the last part of Dragoon that actually felt satisfying, now it just feels empty, especially at lower levels. The anger comes from SE just removing stuff without adding anything to replace it.

I can't wait for the Yoshi P interview where he drops "actually the amount of people who loved the Nastrond removal was much larger than those who want it back"

DRG was great in 7.0 for me, all we needed was more range on the 100 skill. I hope we can nastrond back.

I'm still baffled they changed Viper's ranges before they even fixed DRG's. Should've been addressed at the same time.

I wonder if they just look at each job individually. That would explain the disconnect between jobs with similar skills. For instance why did each tank get a gap closer each expansion? Why didn't they just give a gap closer to every tank? Now they're doing the same thing with healers. I guess we need to wait for next expansion for SCH or AST to get their gap closer and then the healer that was left out will have to wait for the NEXT expansion after that. That's what? 4 years for a silly gap closer if you end up being the last in line. It's ridiculous.

Anyway, Nastronds back please. The rotation is boring without them and stop making the kits simpler because you want to make fights with 5 bazillion things happening at the same time.
