I'm fine with it if it actualy does let you jump over ledges and junk like that, but as far as interviews have said, the only reason they added it was to satisfy those who wanted a hop button. I want it to have a use outide of looking like you can jump, but based on what I know, I'm not confident.
I think "Deal with it" is pretty reasonable here. There are lots of things people do that I would rather not see in-game but I can't stop them from doing it. If jump ends up having a purpose outside of battle it would be pretty strange to see people floating onto platforms or down hills without jumping.
No, even saying this in Japanese it's basically stating it has no purpose beyond letting people see their characters jump.
Uh..no we didn't see gaps we're "supposed to jump over"...we've seen crevasses but it doesn't mean we're supposed to jump over it.Quote:
We've already seen 2.0 concept art that has gaps we're supposed to jump over, just look at the PDFs
Jump is happening and that's that, get over it or quit the game.
I just find this funny and hypocritical in the long run. People should be ok with toggles for everything else...but somehow people aren't allowed to get a toggle for this because...? I say this because if you oppose the idea of toggle for x you get called closed minded or "how does it affect your gameplay?" Yet you have someone who wants a toggle for jump...you get told no by said people who wants toggles for other stuff.
lol.
"Just deal with it" as in "just deal with the game not having jump"... sure.
That's not your place to decide. Never mind the fact that any useful implementation of jump can just as easily be covered by a contextual jump system.Quote:

We're not talking about jump happening or not happening, so get over it yourself. All we want IS AN OPTION TO TURN IT OFF, which if you really were in support of jump whether for the option of having it or because it makes the game more fun of, you don't have the credibility to be against a toggle.
I'll be very clear - those that have supported the full-blown implementation of a non-contextual jump have no right to be against us being able to toggle it on/off as we see fit. Period.
That'd be awesome.
