Ehhh, I'd disagree with that. Public chats can have a lot more varied topics as more people are involved, lets you meet new people, and you can pop in and out as you like.

We are talking here about the shout/yell chat tho, not the say. Cause that is where the advertisement is usually posted. And these are rarely used to talk and socialize normally cause it is a nuisance to other players, since socializing is not posting quick one ad message but rather ten in under a minute...which can easily drive console players to insanity.

And that was what OP was talking about, right? But it kinda doesn't make sense, since these two chats are usually not used to socialize like ever. So you can turn them off without turning yourself into some sort of outcast or hermit like OP says.

Have to say tho my wording there was a bit off, since say is also a public chat. What i meant is the shout and yell, not say. Say is usually used for socializing yeah but not for spamming advertisements, except some gil sellers ofc but well that's not the topic here.

they're not. the clubs aren't rp venues, they tend to be just people afk while /beesknees or a handful of people talking in say while /beesknees.

Wonder why they're even on Dynamis, I don't think anyone even has a house to afk in there yet lol
