Nah, difficulty is fine, rewards are just not there so nobody cares about running it.

This is a stupid take. Because the difficulty curve in XIV from MSQ/Expert to Criterion or Savage content is poorly implemented. Expecting more than a minority of players to get used to the spike when everything but Extreme tends to be a complete faceroll is the equivalent of the Draw two circles now finish the rest of the owl meme. For years people have been asking for more content bridging the gap.
I haven’t tried Criterion Dungeon or the solo one yet. It’s disheartening to hear that they make us fight damage sponges with one hit kill mechanics.
it’s the same reason I avoid savage and now extremes. It’s the, “beat it quick or the mode dies and you miss out,” mentality. I rather just go play a different game. The time investment isn’t worth it since everything gets replaced anyways.
Would rather the developers plan longevity for the content they release. Like deep dungeon or the solo dungeon which I want to try out.
We need more mechanics to dance in regular dungeons with more achievements in each dungeon to discover. The difficulty in our story dungeons should lie in fun dodging stuff and not fighting damage sponges. There are a lot of fast pace dungeons with unique fun stuff happening. More of dodging and puzzles is what makes the game fun.
That solo temple puzzle dungeon with y'shtola back in 5.0 was fun as heck. More of this kind of solo stuff please. Heck add it to gold saucer.
I love the fact that the new Criterion dungeon is something that takes time to understand and complete. An MMO is a game that is going to last a long time. I like the fact this new dungeon is made with that in mind. It's something to keep you occupied for awhile. Most dungeons are completed easily on your first try in 15 minutes. I can't think of a single other dungeon that makes me feel like I need pay attention and try. I main healers and having a dungeon that isnt just mindlessly spamming one button is so great right now.
