Thing is though they would HAVE to nerf Blue Magic even more just for allowing them in current content. Making Blue Mage's Limitation...even more limited than you think. Stuff like Eureka and Bozja already have their own unique systems like with their Mnemes and Lost Actions. There is a reason why Blue Mage is a Limited Job due to the nature of this game being an MMO. PvP Blue Mage is an interesting idea, but the thing is again it has to be very regulated to just be Blue Mages only otherwise it would defeat the purpose of having the other jobs if Blue Mages can fill every role.

Really the best they can do is just to either add more open world activities unique for Blue Mage and expand the content we already have.

Masked Carnivale is a one-and-done content only if you treat it so. It has weekly targets and I use it as my main way to get Allied Seals. This principle applies to every content in the game. Isn't Aglaia, for example, a one and done content if you are not interested in loot? Or an EX trial, if you are not interested in loot (or parsing - not like people seriously parse EXs anyway)?

If anything, it's exactly Blue Log that people complain about (me included). It's not real content (but an excuse), it doesn't offer a far more worthwhile selection of rewards (it has the same rewards as the Carnivale) and it definitely doesn't ask you to approach fights in "new and challenging ways" as we are still talking about casual content. What you said applies to BLU savage raiding, which is entirely separated from the Log.

Saying that BLU is awaste of effort because it offers content that only BLU can do doesn't make sense and it is quite silly. You are also asking the game to walk a very dangerous path. Following your logic, Ultimate raids shouldn't exist because only a minuscule portion of the playerbase accepts the challenge. The time would be far, far better spent on creating more dungeons and alliance raids, for example.

You should refrain from using expressions like "at large" or "majority of players" if you don't have data (as pedantic as this sounds). Are you really using "content creators" and memes as an argument?
Not to mention how a significant portion of the most heated haters of BLU never actually played it, only played it at release and is generally very misinformed about the job. With a quick research you will find out that the people that actually like the job

You could create an "unlimited" Blue Mage and make it the fourth, real caster. Except it wouldn't have all the things that make current BLU fun (as I have already told you, you are ironically making an even more limiting version of BLU). FFXIV is not FFIX. Its design is rigid and not very creative (at least not in its current state). It sucks that BLU is your favourite FF job or whatever, you can voice your frustration all you want (although this is obvious, I'm talking in general). Let's not be hypocrites here and say that BLU is a waste because only a niche portion of the playerbase engages with it and that it should be made more accesible (because as I have already told you, this backfires pretty quickly).

Nah, I don't want the devs wasting time and resources on garbage content like limited jobs. I'd rather the resources for animating new animations and vfx go toward visually upgrading the older ARR jobs instead. Can't stand how ugly Medica and Medica 2 look compared to Helios and Prognosis.

And for those going on about the Masked Carnival. The Masked Carnival could "theoretically" be remade to be done on any job ingame thus completely invalidating limited Blue's existence. The Masked Carnival is only limited to Blue Mage to give Blue Mage a reason to exist.

I say delete Blue Mage from the game but keep the Masked Carnival and make it side content for every job to be able to do.

The moment you rework Masked Carnival to be done by every job in the game is the moment you rework it completely so that it's Masked Carnivale only in name (and not even that, why would it be masked?)

Well yeah, limited BLU is basically just taking the preexisting animations and building a real job out of it.

"Poacher" would be an interesting idea. I'd change Poacher to hunter and make a sort of superior hunt system than what we currently got involving footprint tracking, etc, and makes hunting elite marks funner.

Could make merchant/gambler have attacks that do damage based on RNG but if you get a high number you get more loot or something.

It would be easy to do. Just set an official content rotation out of the spells it can use and level sync the gear and stats like normal. Then outside of official content it's OP
