Yeah, i don't get it either.
They needed to add more and better servers for years, but they didnt do something about it. They only tried when a certain hype wave earlier this year hit, but it was obviously too late by then...

Very disappointed, even know they can handle things differently, but they rather have outdated queue systems...

This is all Squares fault 100%, not Yoshi's teams, they hold the purse strings, they decide how much to spend and what on, whether things are needed or not and the main thing they knew how many Pre release orders had been purchased so they had the numbers or did they presume alot would buy it and not play LOL, Corporate greed basically selling more products than they have or could provide.

Yeah, and the saddest thing is that XIV is by far the greatest source of income for SE since 2020 for sure

This! they don't get brownie points just because its launch, some issues are understandable though. But we are paying a sub for a game that tries to pull free to play level nonsense that should of never flew. Not being able to login is a critical fail for ANY live service game, no excuses. Silence says they don't care.

Queues are normal at releases and may happen, but never to this extend. It's a shame that u sometimes had 50 player queues outside of any patch or anything, but it is these lenghts of queues, that we should have at an release, not during normal play 3 months after.

free to play needs to be disabled right now so bots don't infest the servers, temporarily depopulate servers, and place priority over the PAYING players.

if you pay 14.99 a month subscription, one 24 hour period is only costing you 50 cents. (I've already done the math before) Now you pay a subscription for update/repair of the equipment and maintenance of the game. you pre-ordered it so you wouldn't have to worry about paying for it later. but did you NOT get your earring that gave you 30% exp in combat till level 80??? how about the minion? i mean for the cost of $40 which is the normal price of the expansion you got freebies and you complain when everyone tries to play and you don't? your aren't the only one that can't play off hand, but if your argument is about money then you should look closer at what you would pay for it without the pre-order and if you truly should play this game because the sub is too much.
