Pulling During Cutscene

The pre-fight in most of the dungeons cinematic don't look to be that long. Maybe 2 to 4 minutes at most, with most being less then a minute long. It's the ones that play when you win that are super long. And those, I've noticed it's difficult to give a commendation or roll for loot if it's your first time in the dungeon. Why? Because everyone's going to be leaving while you're still watching the cinematic.

You're using DF because doing so gives you a big boost of XP. You get that boost to encourage people to run the game with people who haven't already and on top of that you get a first time bonus for running it with someone who has never run it before. You get all of this because first time players should be given the chance to experience the content for the first time in the way it was intended. Otherwise, again they may as well just make it all unskippable. If this is the way the community is going to push against new players then I sure will support anyone who asks for that in the future and I bet most of those new players you are ruining the experience for will too.

There is no right or wrong here because everyone values their own time.
Its all about should or shouldn't.

Cutscenes which can effect multiple players should be kept short, which is why the MSQ ones are terrible bad and the devs have learned from them. Those short ones don't effect negatively effect repeated runs by much. The MSQ cutscenes are bad and the devs should have trimmed them and removed the pointless ones.
Its good manors to let people watch the short cutscenes in peace because the extra 10-30 seconds gained be trying to get the fastest time isn't worth much. If an extra 10-30 seconds is that important, you need to chill out and relax a bit.

My deal is this: I’m really excited to run this dungeon, trial, raid, whatever. I’m really excited to experience it for my very first time. I’m having such a great time. I’m loving the cutscene. Then I come out of the cutscene and the boss is almost dead. It completely ruins the entire experience. I’ll never get that again.

Those of you that pull before the scene is over, you’ve already had your first time. You were probably able to do the cutscene and enjoy the boss fight in its entirety.

If we’re trying to compare the experiences, I lose my first experience, you lose some time.

I liked the way it was done for the phase switch for some of the trials like Seat of Sacrifice, Innocence where everyone sees it but it's pretty short and it comes with a checkpoint(?)
the last NieR raid also also has this to an extent.

To me it's common courtesy to wait for people to finish the cutscenes. Pulling during cutscenes puts pressure on those wanting to experience it as intended, and in the future, they may end up skipping them, because they don't want to get left behind. While you can rewatch them later they really lose their impact (and some of them are very much well worth it to experience then and there). Pulling in a cutscene can also ruin a person's first time experience with an encounter, particularly in older content.

When I first started during ARR, I used to skip dungeon cut scenes and watch them later, because I didn't want to get left behind and because I didn't want to be a burden. Looking back at my experience, it wasn't a great one. I don't want to have that kind of mentality to be forced onto others, because it's quite awful to have made someone feel that way enough that they force themselves to let their first-time experience suffer. I stopped skipping them on the first time, and it's definitely made things more enjoyable.

I am proud to say I absolutely don't care about people watching cutscenes. If they wanted to watch cutscenes maybe they should have done the content in the week it was released. No grace for latecomers!

In one group I was in, the healer pulled, while the tank was in the cutscene. That was an issue for sure..
