Child-like characters?

Thancred looks 32 to me o.o
It depends on the person, some people look more rugged at their 30s, especially in Western lands, but some others don't. He looks adult and mature enough in my eyes.

Ethical issues aside, there's the issue of resources.

They are stretched thin with their current team and budget just dealing with Hrothgar and Viera. If they had to slap armor onto child models of the existing races too, they'd never catch up.

As for the ethical reason, also remember that SE can control what they do with child characters. They can't control what players do. And having the WOL as an adult gives them more freedom to put the WOL through hell etc.

But even if this wasn't a concern, the above factor of devleoper resources would prohibit child models for players being feasible at all. And you can't just scale down the models and say 'okay job done there's your child model' it would take more work to make them look right and fit armor right.

On a serious note, it gripes me a little seeing certain NPC's aswell who are supposed to have a certain age but look like every standard player model, looking at you Dancer Trainer NPC which name i forgot as example.

Male hyur, elezen, au ra, and miqo’te all have an “old” face option but I guess SE doesn’t believe that women are allowed to look old or that women go straight from mid-twenties to looking like Matoya.

Maybe it has something to do with the aetherytes. Maybe it’s Maybelline.

It has been a long time since I have been to the customization screen but I don't remember anything that wasn't a young 19 or 20 year old face in there. I would like to see something that was meant to portray someone in their 30s or 40s even, but it's doubtful.

There should be a instant report button on a child like character to frkn perm bann them if they ever tried to do nasty stuff. Nasty people with onlr ERP, nsfw and nasty mind should play other games. Their talk is not funneh. U only excite urself cuse u never experienced it irl.

Not sure what there is to doubt. You can go into character creator right now and see them there. I don’t know which specific faces they are off the top of my head but male midlander, highlander, elezen, miqo’te, and au ra all have 1 very obvious face that looks like mid-40s to 60s.

People probably forget about them because no one uses them and when they check out the faces they say “ew gross” and use one of the other ones that don’t look like trash.

Although he didn't let me continue to do New Game+ with him his first time through Shadowbringers after that though. Something about ruining the game moments.
