If it makes you feel any better, I work for a company that makes plastic so I'm pretty much damning the planet as we speak. I may as well make it into a competition to see who kills the planet the most.

It just takes a touch of practice, but it should absolutely be done if you have any sort of loud consistent background noise (busy traffic from the nearby road, yelling children, barking dogs, etc). Be considerate to the people youre in voice with.

Just play with the kid in the same room as you. Its literally that simple. When i baby sat my cousins and they started screaming while i was playing a game, i just let them sit on my lap or next to me on the couch and let them watch or otherwise interacted with them while i was playing. Boom. No more screaming toddler. Sometimes kids just want to be acknowledged. Thats not the worst thing ever.

To be fair, 9 out of 10 parents will do this already.

Sadly there are people contained within this thread who are telling people that they shouldn't be raiding or even playing games because they have a child.

If this is the case, kindly ask them to Mute themselves. Or have a Discord admin mute them: members of a server with privileges to mute members can do this. Controller users have to remove their hands from a controller to active Push to Talk, so muting oneself is preferable.

If I have noise on my end, I mute myself. That’s simply easier for me during a fight. Especially since I don’t do any sort of call outs.

I think you are reading the absolute worst comments as the general consensus. Just have some respect. You and your kids aren't the center of the world and if you are being noisy and disruptive then it doesn't matter if it is caused by kids, pets, loud music, or traffic, it's on you to either stop the noise, turn on push to talk, or leave the call/content.
