Healers that don't give healers commendations?

I almost never comm the other healer, mostly because I typically do 80% or more of the healing. On the rare occasion that I get another healer that heals, they get the comm. Otherwise it goes to the tank if they main tanked and didn't mess up badly or if they actually picked up adds. In the rest of the cases (that is, the majority of the time) I give it to the dps that aggravated me the least.

That's a good one, I sometimes comm Dragoons who never die and rarely or never get close to (since they're super rare)

That happens to me also. Everytime I was the hero healer, I get no comms. But everytime I sucks I get triple comm. I wonder why?

And being male AND lalafell, I expect less comms, since there are some people out there that's asshole enough to be racist towards lalafells. And that's not that rare. To the point to have the unpleasant experience to see someone shouting at Limsa's Aetherite Plaza that he would kill every Lalafell out there if elected as Eorzean president.

Never got a single comm as RDM, even when was acting as healer on PotD (the comp was Tank and 3x DPS), when casting more Vercure than Jolt.

I'm finding the same situation. I got more comms as DRG than as RDM, even in Rabansty where I have to constantly raise people/manashift the healers. As DRK I get them more often than both combined, but when on AST I rarely get them, and I dish out DPS and keep everyone alive/buffed with very few hiccups.

There's little point trying to figure out why you get more on X than you do Y - as long as it remains a relative voting system where people can throw commendations to whomever they please, you'll never know why you got any specific recommendations unless people literally say it out loud. Example, did Hells Lid today on WHM - DPS'ing like a lunatic, providing advice, no deaths, mega-pulls + Holy whammage, a relatively smooth run overall. Tank at the end said "Commend your healer" before leaving, to which I got a grand total of 1 commendation (obviously the tank) - the other two either commended eachother (DPS), the tank, or nobody - not that I give a damn, just saying that unless people make it obvious, there's no real point wondering why/why not/who etc.

On that particular run I gave it to the tank. The DPS were eating every mechanic known to man and I genuinely felt I was contributing more damage than they were, whereas the tank was working with me to make everyone's life super smooth. The following two runs after that, however, had the worst tanks I'd seen in a while, and decent DPS'ers.

Yeah, I honestly gave up trying to figure it out. I also don't particularly care if I get them or not(I know eventually I'll reach those achievements that you need 3,000 - need less than 500 actually...), if it happens it happens. Yeah, I barely give it to the other healer as well. Especially since it usually does feel like I do most actual healing while still maintaining some DPS.

I usually give them to DPS that seemed to perform the best unless someone made a positive, memorable impact. Like a funny comment.

Also, if you want to almost guarantee a comm from me: explain mechanics to a newbie. I usually end up being the one to do this, and I get so frustrated when people don't give me any hint on a fight at all and then get salty when I struggle.

This happens to me a lot too. If I try to play efficiently, not keeping everyone at max 100% of the time and avoiding overheal, I get little to no comms. If I don't trust a group and keep them topped off constantly, comms for days. I think a lot of them see their HP not always at max and assume the healer isn't doing their job.

I always give it to the other healer even if he/she died alot is all about team work. I don't give it if the other healer are salty.
