What's the Creepiest Thing You've Experienced In-Game?

Once, I saw someone in Limsa Lominsa. But right away I knew something was off because they were standing in what I knew to be the zone line, as in they were beyond it.

So I walked a bit closer, careful not to go over the line.
After a short time of me looking at them, untargetable; they disappeared.
It was Edda from the MSQ/PotD.

Any time I'm near Spirithold I see the gate go up and down randomly when no one is around. Always used to creep me out.

The creepiest thing I've experienced. Back when I was in Hyperion and housing was introduced, my FC was able to buy a medium plot in The Mist. While remodelling, I get in the house and I found this guy sitting on the couch:

Yep, Edda shows up once in awhile in all three cities. I think it started when Tam-Tara (Hard), which features her, was released. TamTam Hard takes place before PotD, and fills in some gaps. If you haven't run it yet, I recommend it. Find a party that will let you read the journals.

That being said, the TamTam quest itself is pretty creepy.

my g/f had similar happen in ff11, for 6 mnths some random jerk would /tell her "do you wanna kick a dude in the >>>> " "would you kick a guy in the >>>>> " "if you got paid would you" "are you a guy?" she humored them for a bit saying no. then he would escalate it, saying stuff like "you are a liar you are a guy, im going to report you my buddy is a gm" everyday from log in to log out this guy would pm her for 6 mnths, she blocked every alt he made, slowly filling up her black list. It was to the point where she wanted to quit ff11, she ended up moving servers. And to this day she didn't know who it was. Just happen to cyber stalk her by pming her every time she logged in, almost immediately, they would pm her.

I have always wondered, after you complete PotD and free her spirit, does she still appear as a wondering ghost around the three cities?

Back in 2014 on my first character, I was playing a female hyur. I was just running around Ul'dah, doing some quests, when all of a sudden, someone starts sending me tells about how sexy my character is and how they want me to follow them outside of the city to a nearby secret private place. I was so creeped out. I told them that I'm not interested and continued on my quest. They started following me and kept sending me tells. I asked my friends how to blacklist someone and after they told me how, I blacklisted them. I still saw them following me, but thankfully the tells were gone. Then I needed to teleport somewhere else (thankfully) and the creep couldn't follow.

When I switched to lalafell, I was a female lala at first and like on day 1, someone invited me to a very shady sounding linkshell, which was apparently a ERP linkshell. I didn't accept because I don't accept that kind of invites, but asked around later about the name of the LS and found out its true nature.

Also had someone try out for a static I was leading, and the guy was... well, he was insane. He was paranoid that some other guy is following him from game to game and that he wants to make his life living hell. Now, being on the internet a while, I did believe him a bit, as there are so many weird people online, but I soon found out the truth. The paranoid guy was actually the one doing the following and when he thought that I believed him, as I added him on Skype so we can coordinate better for the static, he started bot spamming my Skype. I kid you not, I received 50 messages in like 10 seconds, all saying the same thing. "You should believe me." Blocked him on Skype, blacklisted him in the game and told everyone ingame I knew about what happened. He got kicked from our FC that same day. He tried to send some of the people in the FC ingame mail later, saying he had an episode, but that he's sure he's right about someone following him. Soon after, everyone I knew blocked him.

And the last thing and most recent, I switched servers from Balmung to Lich and like a month in, while running through Ul'dah, as I was passing through the marketplace I heard a strange sound, like there's a lot of people crafting in sync. But... there was only like 2 people I could see that were crafting and soon after they left, but the sound stayed. Decided to investigate and as I pinpointed the location from where the sound was coming from, I realised, there was most likely an army of bot crafters under the street.
