The XP from leveling was surprisngly large. I always ran them pre 70. At 70 I will sometimes do them for fun. But I'm the oddball tank that just likes to help everyone out.

The EXP from all the roulettes(minus Guildhest) is decent. Leveling is definitely the best bang for your buck, but all of them can rapidly get you a level(been getting about a level a day doing JUST roulettes on my WHM - 50/60, leveling, trial, main scenario - if the leveling is one that is close to your current level). Throw in the daily hunts from SB, and you're getting close to 100k EXP per mark there.
I just was doing roulettes on my sch and noticed that. It's pretty nice, I thought there would be a grind like HW at the end levels but really...everything scales nicely. I also throw in some PvP which towards 70 is about 600k even when losing... So it's not shabby. It's decent incentive pre 70 for sure.
Used to main healer, but I swapped to DPS.
As long as the idea of healing is worse to me than the DPS queue, I'll keep DPS'ing. A few of my friends would rather faster queues, so they do a lot of tanking. It really just depends on the player.
I wonder if people realize how much this hurts the pool. If even half the tanks and healers are already helping dps they know que that is way less for the pool for randoms. It is a win for people who are social and friendly. But it is a loss for people who have circumstances that make them more likely to solo que dungeon/roulette.
It's way better than non-DF games as a DPS without friends. :v If I'm going solo, then I just put tank/healer in roulettes and level dps with hunts/tribes/challenge log bonuses (which you can easily snag unsynced or in easy guildhests).
Way i see it you have two options:
1) Find a decent fc where the members will help each other out. In mine when someone is leveling or playing a dps they can ask for a tank/healer in fc chat to get them fast ques. I have been helped with my dps ques and help my fc with theirs as healer. Even if we don't need it ourselves we do it to help our fc mate out. Find one like that and your set.
2) Make a healer/tank, before coming here i was always a dps only player, had been for years due to WoW's toxicity towards players in pugs. Here i leveled a couple of dps, then decided to give healer a try, in runs i let them know that i was new to role and could not handle large pulls, i leveled and over time learned. I now have two healers, two dps at max level and am working on a tank.
I'm still getting used to tank so am not that good at it, but i was the same with healer till i practised. Now i can dps and heal fine, with enough practice i hope to achive the same with tank so i can fill any role. Again a decent fc can help you learn the other roles.
From a tank's perspective any of these would get me to do more roulettes outside of my daily extreme:
Give me a viable way to gear up my dps alongside my tank as I would put in double the runs. It's already frustrating to alt a DPS job, same goes for DPS wanting to go tank.
Let me level up another job or give me an "exp" item (like gathering/crafting manuals) for another job similar to cracked clusters.
More Gil. I'd rather spend the extra time gathering right now.
I don't think mounts/minions would get me to do more runs as I'd eventually get them. The first one would be fantastic as I like having a DPS job prepped just in case my FC has too many tanks on. I wouldn't mind doing double the runs then.
As of current:
I have no reason to do anything other than 1 expert roulette and maybe a leveling if I'm getting a gear upgrade soon.
