The thing that made XI's auctions crappy was the fact that they were blind auctions. NOBODY was proposing that, ever. With 1.20 the MW turns into XI's AH, but without the blind auctions, which is exactly what we wanted (sans the setting up a retainer to do your selling, which is still unnecessary).

Also, retainers are timed as of 1.19, so if that's what people found crappy, that's what we have.

In any discussion about whether or not an item is qualifies to be part of a group (or to be defined by a certain adjective, or what have you), it's important to establish a set of criteria for admittance to that group (or a clear definition of the adjective, etc.). Who is changing who's tune? Did you see a single thread on here having a moo cow about the feature when it was announced? No, because no one (to my knowledge) was against it to begin with.

The people making a big deal are still the people who made the MW a big deal in the first place. You have a quick feature now, please let it rest.

So let's hypothetically make one....
No more ward you have 1 storage unit, 1 delivery system ( I'm for this100% ) and 1 auction house. Regardless of what it's called or how it's run your dillusional thinking SE will give you the same amount of slots. It'll be 6-10 max, so now we've removed half the available selling space. This follows with, it will without a doubt only sell items single or set (stack) form, that also erasing items for sale because of incomplete stockings (and how most items are sold) that system also removes the ability to buy partial quantities from a seller, Both of these now eliminated give or take 50% of items available. Less supply.... Less competition.... And you think prices won't go chaotic? Anything battle/gathered will drop to ridiculous rates of people just trying to get rid of them, while finished items sky rocket because less are selling them.

Furthermore who ever heard of an free auction house.... Might as well go back to shouting for stuff if you want to avoid the fees. Have double slotted hq +3 48 weapon? And you'll get gouged week after week you try to sell it for a worthwhile price, should it not get sold.

Not to mention 1/2 the complaint is pretty much, omg I can't walk to the other side of the ward, it's so inconvenient. But running to back and forth to a delivery box and auction house to resell items unsold, or things you wish to adjust prices on ( paying more tax yet again)is fine? That's hypocritical.

I mean really, people need to think things thru before posting crap, that's why 1/2 the crap requested is complianed about after they change it.

Hypothetical situation slanted in a way to support your opinion. I will proceed to disregard, since this is not what anybody asked for in any of the pro AH threads, and it is clearly not what SE would have implemented given the MW changes that we're getting in 1.20.

We weren't asking for things to be sent to a delivery box. You're making a huge assumption based on what you've experienced in other games. We asked for the system to just let us BUY FROM THE MENU, a feature that is being implemented next patch, further proving that we had a valid point.

What do you pay to them? Doesn't cost me anything to post an item. I only pay tax after it's sold. Ah is fee to post... So yes mw is FREE to use.

So where is unsold expired/taken down mercendise going? I guess back in your pocket works I guess, unless it's rare. Buying from a menu is still the ward and not an auction....

Really. I don't know how many people need to say explain that wards with menu buy is not an auction? Infect you just said it.

You still have to go into the wards to list items.

These additions actually make a very good compromise between both crowds since they add convenience without taking anything away.
