I unsubbed, and given Yoshi's reply don't see myself resubbing anytime soon. After a long development cycle, my anima was finally BiS. I know that would only last until Stormblood, and accepted that from the start. I still considered it worth it. And then after just nine days it was reduced from BiS to "very good". You know what else was/is very good? Triad/Kinna/Script weapons. And those were/are 1000x easier to obtain. I didn't make an anima for "very good". I feel betrayed, I wasted soooooo much time on the anima grind under false pretenses.
I don't care about others getting weapons. I'm glad the anima steps were nerfed. I could have waited if I wanted. If the Diadem dropped i270 or even i275 weapons I would have been fine with it. Crazy RNG would have joined skill and time as ways to get a top weapon. Instead, it replaced them. And Yoshi-P sees nothing wrong with it.

I understand OPs position, altho I myself won't unsub. If nothing else I've promised my friends and FC to be around until the expansion and trying it out. But if things keep going downhill in Stormblood, then I don't see myself lasting until another expansion.

After 1000 Diadem runs, your chances of getting this weapon is 65%, or 750 hours of playtime. If we take Balmung's population of 13k, that means only 13 people will have the weapon. And, with the permission of sounding like an ass, the chances of someone getting this weapon AND knowing how to utilise it properly are just as rare, so while yeah I could be mad over it, I don't need to be because it's a weapon that will barely exist and has no threat to me even if the average player gets it.
EDIT: And not all 13k people play, and even less might do the Diadem, so the amount of players getting this weapon is EVEN LOWER. -
