These suggestions would go a long way to making housing more fair for everyone. The first one especially would make people think twice before paying someone to tell them when they are relinquishing a plot.
I don't have any sympathy for people who bought a house/houses they didn't want and who now feel aggrieved that gouging other players is seen as breaking ToS. Common sense alone should be enough to tell them that their actions are having a negative effect on others. Buying a plot from the game and then forcing others to pay twice is clearly not the way housing was meant to work, it's an exploit.
Issuing warnings is a step in the right direction but unless Square take further measures to prevent it, buying multiple plots and 'reselling' them at an obscene profit is going to continue, even when they release new wards in Ishguard.
It's not paranoia if the boogieman is real... :/
But yea, I stand by my story. If people want to say it's not true it's fine. I mean, it is kind of hard to believe, unless you were subbed during that time. People that played during the first few months of 2.0 launch probably remember all the upset people complaining about it during that time. It didn't effect me, I didn't have 2 gil to rub together. I just was pointing out that we pay our subs for the experience of playing. Our digital goods do not *belong* to us in any court of law. SE can do what they please with our digital property. Let's just hope they are willing to let it exist as long as we are willing to play. FFXI used to have a perk for returning players... They'd restore your old character data. That's right, they used to say they delete it if you didn't sub for a while... Things are different now though of course. Storage space is much cheaper too.
