Get to 60 first before making an opinion then.

And while I agree that AST's need to learn to use our tool set perfectly, that doesn't hide the fact that our class does need adjustments. Cards need changes, cooldowns changed, things buffed etc.

JFC I swear if I get 5 spire cards in a row ever again I will cry.

I agree with your card system; I wanna add, make Card buffs stack with other AST, so they wont be overwritten. In the case of the same buff overwrite rules are: enhanced potency has priority, then duration. Spread and royal road should share the same 90sec CD and able to be used outside combat (meaning 2 cards stored, 1 enhanced card used every 90 secs, for balance issues otherwise you would be able to keep Card buffs on almost indefinitely). Draw CD remains unchanged.

In this case, less random factors are in play, as you can always hold a card with a choice of added duration or added potency. SE has the right idea for AST, but just a little sloppy on the Card system implementation.

I found 1 website that said it was 120seconds and the rest said 180. I took this picture of what mine says ingame:

Shroud CD is 120. and low level content doesn't matter.

In end game raid content that's still not release yet (Alex savage), The risk of bringing AST over WHM is they don't have a lot of healing utility that WHM have which are Divine Seal, PoM, Assize,Cure 3, Better regen bubble, Better regen and Benediction. A reward they give are their card buff which even though they are very small, it is still some thing WHM can't do. If AST player is skilled enough to do WHM healing job with AST without those healing utility, you may consider to bring AST instead of WHM.

And don't compare AST with SCH right now. It will be just a completely lose for AST.

I think adjustments should include;

• Allowing royal road to stack - roll two spires at the start of the fight that no one particularly needs? No problem, double the effect of royal road (stacks up to three times - only in combat)
• Allow spread to hold up to three cards - is there a lot of downtime to a fight and this balance won't be as effective as of now? Is there a particularly heavy boss attack and you need some defensive CDs? Lucky you were able to save that bole from the start of the fight
• Shuffle doesn't draw the same card - I'm shuffling for a reason, I'm trying to be strategic and throwing me back the same card defeats any purpose of that strategy. RNG on the initial draw is okay, but atleast give us some better control
• Change collective consciousness - make it so you obtain a 4 second silence debuff after the effect wears off (that is esuna/leechable) after a 2/3 second cast rather than channelling - Increase the radius by a tiny bit for those bigger bosses with large hitboxes (to cover tank and dps) and allow us to place rather than having to stand at the position.

I think the actual heals and mana issues aren't that bad - An astro could easily buddy with a good WHM/SCH and not have any problems. Only time I could see it being an issue is when a lot of people die and you don't have SMN raising in raid and no bard for song :/

Royal Road and spread are fine, but shuffle definitely needs to not be able to draw the same card you just shuffled.

Fake Patch Note 3.01:
The skills of Astrologian has been adjust as following:
-Some healing skills have received potency adjustment.
-Time Dilation can now be casted upon yourself.
-The recast duration for Draw has been reduced.
-Celestial Opposition now extends beneficial buffs by 10 seconds.
-Collective Unconscious will no longer be ended while using other actions.
-Lightspeed will now only affect damage potency. Healing potency will no longer be affected.
-A new action has been added for discarding the card currently drawn.
-The party bonus buff of AST will now be changed based on the Sect. Diurnal Sect will apply MIN bonus buff to the party.
-In working with the ACT plugin creator, the damage brought to the party from AST cards will be counted in as AST's DPS numbers.
-Upon using Celestial Stasis, theres a 5% chance of summoning the Primal Skybear for entertaining purpose.

The biggest risk of bringing an AST over WHM in end-game raid is losing out on the MND party bonus, since AST/SCH are PIE. That is a pretty big deal (like 26 MND points) for progression when AST already has the lowest healing potency. So comparing AST and SCH is a reasonable argument.
