How would identify a female player guy/girl?

As far as the... "men tend to jump around and women stand still" anecdote... I tend to run laps around my FC house while I'm bored, talking on voicechat, or waiting on a queue.

Truth be told, it's hard to tell. I've heard many people say stuff like, "Oh I can tell that girl was really a guy..." or, "I have a feeling that person is a girl..." The best thing to do is just to ask. I tend not to bring up being female, unless it's relevant... although once people hear my voice, the answer is pretty obvious.

Hahahaha... I do the same thing!

I *think* I can usually pick out other females by use of language or personality, especially after having done a number of events together.
Voice chat is usually the final seal... whenever I join another voice server with people I know in game but never have chatted with over voice, it's usually "Oh, she really is a girl!" (I still don't really talk that much; apparently I lack the coordination skills to talk and tank at the same time... :O )

1.Why does the other players gender matter?
2. If you hit on them and they are not responsive, probably female and dislike being hit on by creepers.
3. Hit on me without being able to spell would, people, could, or whatever properly and gender is irrelevant..you are not attractive to me.
4. I would only date people over 40 anyway :-D

I can vouch that this is just a stereotype, like how right now I am wearing the new bunny set from Golden Saucer even though I am a straight female. I am sure many of the women that play this game can vouch that we just like to glamour new things or change our appearance a lot here and there to do something different.

Usually there is some aspect of the outfit that I like and I just don't like to look the same all the time. I like to look sexy sometimes (even though generally I am more conservative with my clothes in game) and I appreciate the nice designs of the game. I also play this game and many others with my long term boyfriend and he likes the sexy stuff sometimes and he thinks it is cute.

To OP, as others have said I mean if you are really curious just ask them, if they don't feel comfortable answering then just let it be.

Well, opinion is opinion, lol. If that's your preference, then that's really all there is to it. You just have to keep in mind that every person is different. Some are more lax about this stuff than others.

I'm probably one of the most relaxed people around here when it comes to people playing as particular gender characters, so I'm not sure I'd be an awesome source of info, lol.

You can't really tell unless being told otherwise. I personally just let people believe whatever they want. Also, I really don't think it's a huge deal who you're marrying in a game. It's not like you're marrying them for real or you're planning on trying to start some romantic relationship out of it.

agree lots of creepazoids around i used to pilot my gf charcter in my old game cause she liked playin my tank in wars lol and the stuff guys used to message her was lets just say x rated im like this isnt *insert her ign* then they would go quiet lol my girls like see what we have to put up with just cause we have boobs lol

Why would you marry someone, even in a game.. Somebody whom you don't even know the gender of?
I play a female character, but everybody in my FC knows that I'm a guy and most people on my friend list also.. I wouldn't even consider marrying anybody with less familiarity than that.

again not the aim im going for in this topic, but if i were to marry a female character i'd rather it be a female thats playing the character bcuz it feels right and natural, and the flow of chatting to one another feels like you're chatting to the person herself. Hence why i portray my character as myself and nevered play as a female bcuz I like to put reality into the game kinda like a 2nd life. And of course I would't be marrying them for real, why in the world wud i want that? To make things simple, I like puting reality into the game.
