Your advice isn't that helpful. It's not about me arguing for arguments sake.
I spoke the simple truth, mid level decks will not give a high rate of success against the NPCs like Rowena, who have the Random rule.
It will give you a chance, perhaps one in 5 if your good, or one in 10 otherwise, of winning. Even then however, you'd have to exploit the NPCs programming.
I'm not sure why you make this about me wanting to be right tho.
I mean you argue that Random npcs are easier to beat then they in reality are.
For the sake of everyone that still needs cards off them, I'd much rather be wrong in this discussion, I think.
Odin is incredibly easy. Are you saying you have a hard time with him? Because certainly people can get the card from Odin way faster than through TT.
Anyway, this is just ridiculous. Random NPCs are still annoying to people who have 30 or 60 cards. Sure, you have a chance to get good cards now, but in matches where you get all 1 stars, it's probably not going to happen.
This isn't even about skill anymore. It's about that the NPC has million times better cards than you, as they always have good cards, and many times you have just junk. Luck != skill, sorry.
Negative. These NPCs are still annoying because even with 30 or 60 cards, you can random into a deck of mostly 1 stars. Sure, people with under 30 cards probably shouldn't be challenging these NPCs, (certainly I wouldn't with that few cards), but having more cards doesn't change the fact that many times you will be handed an unwinnable deck with no concede button. Just not fun.
Agreed, I've got close to 45 cards but getting a random deck to anything like decent is rare. There is no real strategy to use against Landenel. His Odin card is especially devastating as he often won't play until last. 3 8s when I get 4 cards that have nothing higher than a 7 means he takes 1-3 cards on his last move regardless.
If it was random in combo with plus, that I could work with.
As much as I have read throughout this entire thing, I'm gonna write this up about the Random Rule.
The Random Rule is meant for Random Decks, though with the current coding of NPCs in place that use this rule(that have a small card pool), it has become excessively difficult to defeat them even once. I can agree on this fact because I've tried it before, and failed more than enough times against Rowena/Landenel. Random has become RNG at its finest(Atmas are nothing to worry about now if you're going to whine about that here) mainly by the fact that low card pools(and high cards) tend to favor those who don't have a majority of 1 Star Cards.
A possible fix to this would be either scrapping Random altogether and adding a different rule based on monsters(and not Ascension, Descension, etc.), or possibly changing around things. Suggestions on what things are below:
-Increase the NPC's Card Pool greatly(40+ Cards) so that they do not have an elite, small selection to choose from.
Random rule is fine... Just give me 6 cards as a pool to select a random 5 from, just like the npc has. Orgive the npc a pool on 35.
I really do enjoy helping people, I made a TT linkshell on my server for this reason (as well as to make matches easier to set up). As I mentioned before, I'm not so inclined to going into a detailed explanation because most people in this thread are not interested, pretty much every single person in this thread has met every rational suggestion or attempt at an explanation of how it works with either skepticism, bad attitude, or an indication that they didn't even read the post.
It does no harm to simply hear people out and ask questions about the parts you may not understand. Stop being so quick to judge and close minded, stop immediately trying to disprove or belittle people, especially when you don't even read the entire post because then you are just proving your lack of reading comprehension.
I think you should all stop being negative assholes and own up to your responsibility of upholding a good community, try being a decent human being for once.
