Selene out : Speed is up, TP goes faster, you have to have a TP song.

Clearly your scholar doesn't use Selene.. otherwise you'd find Paeon a little more useful. I can't force you to realize that songs are your purpose so if you want to pretend you're a dps and not a support job then have at er.

Bard is probably one of the most balanced classes right now. Enough DPS for a ranged character who also provides MASSIVE FREAKING AID to the entire party when it's needed. Seriously. Literally every spell caster + healers in the party are always stoked when a Bard shows up.

I've played with Bards on PS3/4 and they can maintain at least 300-350 DPS no problem.

Nah. Range dps is simply better.

Bards got nerfed early on while most others have received buffs. I think that's the OP's argument.

I have, it's easy. It's all about consolidating like abilities that do not share timers onto single macros.

For instance, try this macro

/micon "Heavy Shot"
/ac "Misery's End" <t>
/ac "Bloodletter" <t>
/ac "Heavy Shot" <t>

When misery's end or bloodletter is up it'll shoot off those, otherwise it'll shoot off heavy shot, and you just consolidated three slots on your crossbar into one.

It's very, very simple to play bard with a PS controller, you just have to get a little creative with macros to fit everything, or learn how to switch between crossbar sets quickly. I, honestly, cannot imagine playing any other way.

Not giving it an upgrade is not a nerf. Nerfing is making it weaker, Bard is not getting weaker, it is recieving no buff, it is staying the same. That is not a nerf.

I haven't seen it yet... Controller has its weakness just as Mouse/keyboard has there... I don't believe that BARD or BLM is best for a controller... A controller user on melee DPS or SMN can overpower anyone mouse/keyboard users but I have yet to see a controller user on BARD or BLM out play a mouse/keyboard user..
