So let me see if I've got this right.
Conjurers have:
- Fastcast
- Chainspell
- Ancient Elemental Spells
- And now the most powerful raising spell
... really SE??
(probably not the best way to go about making classes more distinctive)

I hope THAT is the case, cause otherwise what's the point of playing a class wheren there is no "real direction" the class is going?
Jobs are meant to make you more "specific" in your class abilities, so if GLA becomes a PLD, I want to be able to tank and nothing else, if I'd like to deal DMG, then I wouldn't play GLA as a main.
People need to fucking make up their minds before choosing a class. If you thought you can pick one class and then be a "Jack of all trades", you need to go, cause if MMOs would be like this, there is no point in starting a class anyway, we could all be called Adventurers and everyone learns the same shit at the same ranks...
I'm really still hoping they take back what they said about 1 job per class and give the mage classes 2 jobs each. Conjurer becomes Black Mage and White Mage while Thaumaturge gets Scholar and Red Mage. I really don't think either class should get stuck with the a healer role job when they come out but can still do so if they want to if they are given 2 jobs.
As for other job related hopes, I hope the barrier skill and the flaming arrow attack in the introductory movie is given to my conjurer and archer. It's a bit odd that the starting movie that is suppose to represent the game has none of the skills shown to actually be in the game still.
Also Thaumaturges could start learning more spells that deal with Astral and Umbral powers/things that take place over time (healing/damage/buffs/etc.)
Conjurers SHOULD have the majority of healing spells since they are already blm/whm style classes. Not to mention the majority of players are just going to move to a job once they hit, and those will be even more specific. And lets not forget that classes are still undergoing revamping/skill change/skill removal/addition.
Its not going to be 1 job per class forever. That was just the plan to get the first initial jobs out.
Well, with the addition of Curaga spells it would indeed seem to be that I am being forced to play a class other than the one I picked at the title screen way back in the beginning of FFXIV.
This doesn't need to be necessary. Dev team, if I don't want to play a white mage, give me a black mage job. Do it.
