Is anyone else really disappointed with the nerfs coming in 2.2?

I already done all the 2.0 and 2.1 content many times. I am perfectly fine with it getting nerfed because I will be focusing on the new content coil 6-9 and mog + levi ex. I did the old content when it was hard that is a good enough achivement for me, it doesn't bother me one bit that people can catch up, I will be enjoying my new content.

I have beaten everything in the game multiple times, the nerfs are better for the game, get over it

I have to say I agree with OP. I'm a new player, highest level is 35. Just because I haven't gotten to content yet doesn't mean I want it to be a cake walk when I get there.

That said, I haven't experienced the content so I don't have a good reference on how these changes will affect it.

Bad example lol I never studied, got drunk and still got my A`s. Doesn't matter how much you study. You either get it or you don't. All these people saying mmo should do this and be that should get together and make their own game. Then watch the complaints come in lol.

im so sick of seeing people saying "oh you must just be a hardcore elitist, you are only 1% of the population anyways go away" any time someone disagrees with the content nerfs

i disagree with the content nerfs, and its not cuz i give a flying f**k what other people do with their time or game. i think nerfing content is stupid, A. because the content really isnt that old to begin with B. its really not "that" hard and C. it completely destroys any longevity this game might have.

skyrocketing players to the latest/greatest content is just lame, all it does is make the game shorter. expansions and new content should extend the life of the game, not the other way around. no wonder these games see such a high turn over rate, theres nothing to keep people around.

with the way things are currently going the game will continue to be a revolving door of new players burning out on content 2 months after it gets released

Fates needed fixing, since the addition of duty roulette, I have seen far more often battles like the chimera in north thalan not being touched because the player base as moved away from fates as a primary method of leveling.

Also while using duty roulette I have seen the type of players in AK change from higher Ilvl's of darklight and above to an avg of sub-darklight down to AF gear. AK is a content gate for GC and Relic weapons and taking away the Fly's will help with getting people past this hurdle. Less used content is always going to be relaxed for people lagging behind.

As for the other trials, Like the EX primals. You already said you don't have a problem with it being done with Coil, so why is it such a problem with these. These are truly optional buffs and only come in effect after a wipe. the current difficulty is still intact. Something tells me this is a hit to your ego, for whatever reason that may be.

For the nerf of AK, you have to remember that DL stuff won't be buyable anymore. It will be drops from the new dungeons. So, people won't be able to farm Castrum/Praetorium to buy DL before they go to AK.
And for groups of new people, with only basic AF and 35-45 jewelry, yes, AK, as it stands can be hard.

Sure, those people could farm Castrum/Praetorium ad nauseam to obtain myth tomes, but I suppose they won't give 300 each for random main scenario, so they'd have to do more of them to stuff themselves. SE is nerfing AK so that these people will have 4 dungeons to run to begin acquiring "HL" stuff instead of 3.

Well I would say that SE waited too long to adjust things FFXI, and when they did it was either too little too late, or completely ham-handed.

So I'm glad they are easing XIV content in a timely and thought out manner.
